  1. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 06:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Man, Mac looked good tonight, so glad it was in a game this team has .01% chance to win so it seems but the Destroyit Tigers have the games lone errors...and usually that is the team to lose.
  2. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 06:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> we should do something crazy like go to a 6 man rotation with bmac. The more rest these pitchers get is fine. EXACTLY!
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 06:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no idea what this means he mustve sat in whitesox team barberchair thinking "i cant wait to leave this team and let my hair grow...."
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can guarantee you that Frank Thomas was anything but the heart of the Sox clubhouse. it might not have appeared on the surface....but when it comes to representing WHITESOX baseball & the organization...even after the riffraff....i still think he meant a whole lot more to the team than he was given credit. kinda like bernie williams for the NYY in terms of clubhouse presence.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 05:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know Fathom... not that it would help, but I really wouldn't mind PK, AJ or Ozzie come out and just rip on the teams performance the last week. Hawk is really drilling it home tonight about the lack of fire from this team IMO: we lost the heart of the whitesox clubhouse in FRANK THOMAS. we lost the young spirited "i will run thru walls to win" AARON ROWAND. the only guy left that is a motivated emotional leader is AJ.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 05:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We've seen more Uribe blown bubbles (3) than Sox hits tonight. This is as flat as we've looked in the last 5 years. well the casual baseball fan would have looked back on our past 3 games and said..."oh... 1. Santana pitching at home 2. Verlander pitching at home 3. Rogers pitching at home i can understand 0-3." it is a little ironic that today is the day that AROW may be lost for the season....
  7. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That should be obvious. You can do that in the off-season, its impossible or nearly impossible to do that at the trade deadline. On a sidenote, sorry about being overly harsh, it wasn't really direct at you, rather I'm so sick of seeing a million posters seemingly thinking we could have done that. Fact of the matter is that wasn't an option. We could have tried to get Lidle and some other veteran (like a Greg Maddux) but I still don't think that makes this rotation acceptable. Plus we'd have been stuck with other starters. Our starting pitching staff proved to everyone last year their collective ability! OZ pushed the starters to go late in games. They did. Then we had a short off-season and still these guys have been pushed. What we are seeing are stud pitchers just dogass tired. The only remedy at this point is to give BMAC 6 starts before year end and give some of these guys some rest. OR get the starters to give a good 5/6 innings and then utilize what appears to be a major upgraded and untested bullpen. Then again I aint no COOP so I really dont know WTH I am talking about, but from what I see.....
  8. well hopefully this WC race comes down to teams that dont want to win it.... usually i am for a 4 man rotation in September & October....but our guys look so tired that I would even consider putting BMAC as the 6th starter....what do you guys think?
  9. i wonder what the odds of destroyit not making the playoffs would be....hmmmmm
  10. the entire MLB has infielders that are running backwards to catch flys...i have never seen anything like it.... WOOT WOOT 1-0
  11. it is definitely time to take JC out...this is usually the point where a horrible injury occurs
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Holy cow! What a f***ing joke. Keep smiling Cooper as your pitchers underachieve. the Kansas s***ty Royals were +255 in this game....no wonder some people might be smiling...
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uribe needs to learn to back off of that. Let the OF catch it. lately our midinfield tries to catch everything...you are absolutely spot on
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 01:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Zumaya is good....GASSSS 101 MPH well i am going to be west of the 101 PCH as soon as this game is ovaaa... dude thanks for cleaning up soxtalk! 2xthankyou! btw what up with the nacho?
  15. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? well i subscribe to mlb.tv and fortunately enough i own a limo company in San Diego....which means i get to watch the games just about whenever...i have been following how destroyit & mini have been doing....and well destroyit finally looked like their heads were WAYTOBIG after they beat mini in game 1 of the last series they played...i know far too well that is a badddd sign to see in a team...just when you think you have arrived somewhere...you better check yourself at the door...especially if you are new to it....& i am referencing destroyit not you.... so does that answer your huh? QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll wager that Detroit has won quite a few games on the strenght of sloppy play by the opponent's defense this year, and I doubt they complain afterwards. Yeah, Detroit gave us a few runs on defense...but we also didn't give them any gifts back. you just won that wager...i saw TB practically give the games away that promptly gave destroyit the confidence and momentum they have ridden... hopefully they are hitting a major speedbump...& THAT BE US!
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anderson drives in 2. The bullpen shuts them down, and Buerhle has a good outing. Now lets sweep them out of the state and send them into a tailspin. we all saw it coming after game one for destoyit vs minisota when the destoyit dugout was laughing, joking, & kicking back like they were a bunch of teenage girls in a limo.... WE ARE BACK SO TAKE NOTICE!!!
  17. so the wife usually works on Tuesday & Wednesday and when Thursday rolls around she says what time do the White Sox play tonight....well i tell her its a day off & she gets pissed.... tonight she asks me when is the next day off....& i tell her we have 24 straight days of baseball....she says GREAT.... LOL!!!
  18. QUOTE(soxyess @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 08:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> THOME IS SO DUE!!! what is it..once every 12 at bats? i think the percentages are with the big guy!
  19. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rope down the right field line. LOL MR. NORMUS!!!
