guys, be realistic here, India is not going to cut any ties with the US. 70% of their IT outsourcing money comes directly from the US. That would be like me refusing to sell to our biggest client because they didn't come over and spend thousands of dollars on us. anyways, bottom line is that 200 million a day is way too much. i think Obama going to India is a good idea, but no need to go over the top on cost.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 3, 2010 -> 12:10 PM) I don't know, Fiorina moved up in ATT, took over Lucent, and did some interesting things at HP. I'd say in general she had a pretty successful life and accomplished a hell of a lot. Was she the best CEO ever, no, but you know what, she did what most of us will never do and did it against more odds as a women (especially in the mid 90's). I can definitely agree on a lot of those points. I think she had a career which most would consider an overall success. Working your way up to CEO and stinking up the place still means you got to that point. Like a MLB ball player that makes it to the All-Star game his first year, and sucks bad the rest of his career. Still was one hell of a player when compared to the vast majority that have picked up the game. But her total failure at HP was just too colossal and public, as it would inevitably become a major liability during a tough Senate race.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 3, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) Do you really think the President shouldn't travel? if he can't leave the country for less than 200 million a day, no. that's just a stupid amount of money to go to India. the 200 million number could be a way high estimate.

America Votes 2010
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2010 -> 07:19 AM) I paid no attention to the news last night. I take it this means the Tea Party candidates kept the Dems in control of the Senate? GOP establishment candidate Fiorina lost pretty bad too. A bunch of tea party candidates won. Overall, the tea party helped the GOP in the midterms, that much is obvious. If they don't vote, or vote third party no big swing in seats.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 2, 2010 -> 07:50 PM) Looks like cook county is reporting first. Alexi and Quinn both with 100k leads as of now. I think they both will have to be up at least 250k after 75% of Cook reports if they want to win. But it appears cook county had a good turn out. wonder what the suburb turnout will be like.

In CO the Republican nominee for Gov Dan Maes is currently polling below 10%. So what happens if he fails to garner 10% support? http://www.denverpost.com/election2010/ci_...9589?source=pkg haha
