QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 10:49 AM) I assume this was a torrent? I'd love to read these things, but don't feel like dropping $1.99/comic (times 88 or something) I simply googled "The Walking Dead epub" and clicked until one was active.
  4. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 10:39 AM) The main point i got out of it was to look at the pitchers confidence ratings in all his pitches, and instead of guessing fastball every time, guess the pitch he has a much lower confidence level in and you'll have a much better chance at hitting it. Guessing right and getting great contact and timing on a pitch that the pitcher has amazing confidence in is more likely to get you into a grounder or a ball hit right at somebody even if you timed it like Ted Williams. Damn, that's a great tip. I'll try it after raping the Soxtalk Keeper 1 draft tonight.
  5. Peyton got paid. Broncos signed QB Peyton Manning to a five-year, $96 million contract. The biggest free agent signing in NFL history is now official. The amount of guaranteed money is currently unknown, but the the $19.2 million average annual value surpasses that of both the deal Manning signed with the Colts last summer and the four-year, $72 million extension Tom Brady signed in 2010.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) Why does everybody think the Royals should have traded Soria when he was an automatic save machine? Because the Royals always suck and saving a victory when you're in last place means s***.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 09:39 AM) I have to think the fighting helps more than it hurts I have to disagree.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 04:21 AM) If you want to know what's going on without wasting your time, there's a Walking Dead wikia page with a nice synopsis of the comic books. Beware, it has some typos near the end of it... Eh, took 5 minutes to download the entire series and throw it on the Nook. It's really interesting how well they pulled off the start of the series. The only difference I'm noticing at the start is no Grimes in tank and no raw-dogging. There should have been raw-dogging, so I'm glad AMC added that artistic touch.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) MLB.tv on PS3 freaking rules. It's got a longer delay (since it's so high in quality), but it's literally like watching an excellent HD feed of the game over your internet connection. I also adore being able to choose between television and radio broadcasts. I watch a lot of Cardinals thanks to dear old dad, and watching the game with John Rooney making the call makes me giddy.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 09:53 PM) Since my last post, my average is down to like .125. Uggghh. I really think once I work on my speed, my average will climb, because I hit a lot of balls down the 3B line that the 3rd basemen backhands and throw beats me by a step. Also, lots of balls past the pitcher that the IF range to get and barely get me out. Speed should help, then I'll work on power. I don't care if your controller is vibrating like Carl's dildo, don't swing at first pitch. The hits come easier if you look at at least one.
  11. QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) All I know is ive been reading all the Show hype on this board for years and I finally bought into it and was severely disappointed with the game when I finally gave it a shot.. I really just don't understand how that's even possible. The Show is beyond fantastic.
  12. Sh*t like that is why the NHL is 4 or 5 on most people's radars.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 09:07 AM) the best post player in the league Um, Dwight is nowhere near the best post player in the league. That's actually one of his biggest problems is he hasn't developed a dominant post game.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 08:26 AM) jon greenberg ‏ @espnchijon Derrick and Boozer talked to Dwight after the game. "C'mon man, they'd score 59 without you." Clearly, that is made up.
  15. QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) lol, settle down mr force trade It was either that or not be the Sox or sim a season which makes every other team different. The Sox suck in that game and in real life. However, touche'. Oh, and it was funny. After I forced Rios for Upton, the poor D'Backs smartly waived Rios. Immediately. Video Game 1, KW 0.
  16. Also, you all suck and are front runners for bailing on the Bulls just because Derrick Rose is injured. I hate you.
  17. "I'm going to start dedicating my time to free throws. I see now, that these games come down to 4-5 points." Dwight Howard, 613 NBA games in, 5,651 free throws in, shooting under 50% from the line this year, claims he's going to dedicate himself to free throws. Yeah, I bet you'll also sign an extension with Orlando instead of dragging this out to the next deadline, right?
  18. Nice 3 by Deng puts the Bulls up 35-22. Keep the foot on the gas pedal. One thing I just heard that I never thought I'd hear... "Carlos Boozer has started all 47 games this year; the only player to do so for the Bulls."

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 05:42 PM) I'm not reading any of the last five pages because that horse has been beaten dead already. However, one brief thought about the finale: MICHONNE That is all. I am currently in the process of downloading comics 1-88. I'm too hooked on you folks knowing everything and I can never avoid stuff in spoiler tags, so I might as well enjoy them!
  20. Lucas drops three 3's in 51 seconds. Bulls up 22-14.
  21. QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 07:08 PM) Sorry, but I have played both The Show and 2K this year and they are essentially the same game with The Show having much better graphics.. I dont really care what the game looks like, am I having fun playing it is much more important to me and The Show was not a fun game to play at all.. It may be because of my awesome giant TV, but I dont know that for sure.. All I know is, I want to have fun playing any game and The Show was not fun to me.. If 2K looked like The Show did, it wouldnt be so lopsided in popularity.. I really dont care though as I get everything I need for my baseball fix from 2K without having to play The Show and want to rip my ball hairs out in the process.. Now the only thing I have left to do is figure out what to do with this piece of s*** PS3 that FoP made me buy and is now just collecting dust under my TV.. I'd imagine you didn't have fun because the Show takes a legitimate learning curve and is not at all like an arcade simulation.
  22. Soria possibly headed to Tommy John surgery.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 04:48 PM) You cant have zombie movies if the main characters are smart. The simple answer is that zombies dont have brains, thus even the simplest human should be able to create a fortification to stop zombies. I mean even the simplest human would have built a moat, trench, etc. You know simple techniques that were developed to stop walking armies. Let alone more advanced techniques like putting flameable material in a trench so when a large swarm of zombies came they would fall in trench and then be lit on fire. That doesnt even get into the parts about hoarding important supplies, etc. But if you have smart humans, you dont have a zombie film. Its why Carl always runs off. At a certain point you cant write that the main adult characters are acting stupid and naive. You're on fire today. Great post.
