  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 20, 2011 -> 05:01 PM) It's like it was set up on a tee for him. Amazing how Dunn never gets a hold of a ball like Kinsler has done twice tonight. c'mon dude, he pops those up to 2nd - give him credit!
  2. even i would have a chance on a hanging change like that one.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 20, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) He's got no chance against Ogando. wonder if he would throw him a slider just to toy with him, like a cat with a 3-legged mouse.
  4. Alexei and JP saving the ass of their teammates.
  5. Gordon hitting .145 in his last 10, 5 hits and 9Ks. AAA anyone? Anyone? Bueler?
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 20, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) Somebody should tell Hawk the Sox are under .500. We don't need Tigers/Indians updates every few minuites. not to sound all delusional, but with the way they responded after getting spanked by the yankees I wouldn't put it past them to put together another 8-2 stretch.
  7. Dayan hitting .226 in his last 10, 1 HR. Maybe the promotion will motivate him. Dunn made contact.
  8. I just have to give a big fat F U to this organization for refusing from the top on down to address their issues on offense that have plagued them for so long. If Gordon Beckham were on any other team in this division alone, he would be at AAA.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2011 -> 06:53 PM) :notworthy Yet the same people think the Tigers aren't dangerous even though they have a true ace. Don't worry though, another 9 days and hopes for a postseason will probably be over. They played good baseball for a 90 game perod, but just too much ground to make up. one guy does not a pitching staff make.
  10. you just had the feeling that was coming with the way he was teeing off on his swings
  11. disagree. his breaking stuff just started rolling.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 19, 2011 -> 05:53 PM) Peavy has been looking pretty good lately. next year? ace
  13. who's calling the shots on this disaster? @CST_soxvan Daryl Van Schouwen Beckham knows it: 'right now I'm having hard time laying off bad pitches.' GM KW said he'd rather see Beckham's old swing he brought from GA
  14. What's weird is that even if the Sox don't feel Walker is to blame, the facts are that the offense is struggling and needs help. And even if Greg Walker was the greatest hitting coach of all-time, you would still have to say that whatever he's doing isn't working. And if you're truly serious about trying to win, wouldn't you want to do everything you could to try and give this offense a boost? I mean my god, you have your big free agent signing on his way to a historically bad season at the plate...isn't that enough to justify a change?
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 18, 2011 -> 07:59 PM) I say it every night, but Beckham is just a disgrace of a player in the clutch. Meanwhile Lilli sits, a perfect PH in that situation
