  1. I'm stunned that we got 2 runs out of that.
  2. welcome back, Paul Konerko. We've missed you.
  3. arod with his second dinger tonight. insane.
  4. now we get treated to erstad leading off. yippee
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 04:56 PM) AJP with just an awful swing on that pitch. Hold the lead here Danks! It's a shame they're putting so much pressure on Danks to stay perfect. Hopefully one of his starts he'll get some run support (when they're not facing an ace like Durbin)
  6. Tiger's announcers make a good point: Danks toes the rubber on the first base side, making it hard for him to get the fastball in on right handers. Said that the Tigers were scouting that and hitters are looking for it. they also said the avg. temp for the Sox' 14 games has been 45, 40 at home.
  7. is it too late for be to get on the "I don't like Darin Erstad" bus?
  8. first swing for the fences. I don't know what that second swing was.
  9. wow. right back to patheticville.
  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 01:17 PM) George Bell he was my second choice!
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 12:34 PM) The image from Mark's no no that I will remember isn't from the 9th, but as he came off the field in the 1st. That smile of relief was what makes baseball fun. I can't think of anyone in a Sox uniform in my lifetime that seems to have more fun at the ballpark. IIRC Bo also seemed to really enjoy the days when he could play, but nothing like the smiling, tarp sliding, noogie giving, Mark Buerhle. Albert Belle?
  12. I still have vivid memories of detrot gagging in the world series...pitchers throwing balls away...the gambler getting caught for cheating, finally...inge going down on three pitches to end the series with runners on...such a happy time. even funnier is that their fans can celebrate the collapse on a commemorative DVD.
  13. I don't know if any of you have ever browsed Motown Sports, but it's a cool Tigers site with passionate fans like you'll find here. One of them is a guy named Brain Bluhm, aka Estrepe1. A very knowledgable fan. Apparently he was a victim of the shooting earlier this week. Here's a link to a memorial page they have for him in case you'd like to read more. What a waste. Motownsports
  14. This Detroit series should be interesting. They've been up to their old tricks, pulling out games in the late innings.
  15. I take it back Rob, you don't make me puke. Bobby should be able to hold on to this one.
  16. calling it -- leadoff dinger by JD
  17. wow. that looked like a strike to gooch.
