  1. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 1, 2007 -> 07:37 PM) 10:35 (AM) CT start tomorrow? Ick... weird...why wouldn't AJ play tomorrow and take tonight off against the lefty?
  2. that's a very funny lineup. too bad he didn't give kong the night off, too.
  3. hard to believe that our offense has been this pathetic and we're tied in the loss column with Min and Det. Hope Javy's on tonight.
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 09:14 AM) In 05, we hit .255 in April, .254 in May and .242 in August. 3 months of sucky offense. Last year September we hit .260. But this April has been the worst in a while. The last time Kong put up a month like this was 03. and it doesn't look like it's going to get better anytime soon. I'm predicting a 1-4 trip to the west coast.
  5. I love how a demotion to AAA to get him AB's has fans thinking the sox are giving up on a #1 draft choice.
  6. he just needs a start against the Sox. Seems to help other struggling pitchers like Weaver and Durbin.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) The reason we're pissed off that Terrero got called up is because he's putting up horrible numbers right now, and has been especially awful over the last two weeks. If he plays well, then that would be a great surprise. However, I think it's embarrassing that this organization can't field a single replacement to have four at-bats a day and do nothing else. I agree, it is embarrassing. Didn't take a genius to see that the likelihood of podsednick getting hurt was high, given his track record. Cintron and Mack are not meant to be every day players and it shows. I do, however, think Sweeney is here to stay.
  8. By far my favorite Sox team. What a summer! I kept bugging my dad to take me to more and more games. I didn't miss any on channel 44...jimmy and harry and nancy playing na-na-na-na...only to go down to the royals. Which is funny since so many Sox fans now don't remember what a dominant team the royals were for a long time in the old AL west. Oscar was the man.
  9. konerko really isn't showing any signs of snapping out of a funk. same could be said for dye and AJ, despite the jacks the other night. our lineup is in real trouble.
  10. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) Nice win and the White Sox have clinched a winning April with a BRUTAL schedule to start. Nice job guys! I said going into the season that I'd be happy with any sort of winning record in April. Now take the series tomorrow. this is a great point
  11. I still think cleveland has to deal for some bullpen help. I hope they don't because I think their pen will be a weak point. But they also sport the best lineup in the division and that probably won't change.
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 07:11 PM) It will be interesting to see where our pitching prospects rank at the end of this year if they keep this up. Between Egg, Gio and Russell we have some stuff pitchers at AA. I'm really excited about Russell
  13. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 06:52 PM) Wasn't Kotchman the guy who hit a three run homer off of Contreras in 8th at Anaheim during the regular season of 2005. yes. I was in the stands, sad to say. ah yes, it WAS mcpherson
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 06:42 PM) Tough inning possibly for Contreras here. I hope Ozzie's proactive and gets us someone in the pen. there's your answer. s***. the angels pen > sox pen
  15. AJ looks so good when he waits for his pitch, but when he doesn't...
  16. anderson getting down the line pretty good there.... Count looks good to me
