PREDICT the Dolphins romp over the Texans
IlliniKrush replied to Be Good's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
raising hand screw you wanne, have fun with fielder on the roof over there too -
screw alabama and most southern football teams
-
oh shut your mouth already, you are a joke
-
apartment at first and john, i'm a sophomore, where are you at
-
after last year's debacle of a season, and the bowl game, and now BLOWING THIS GAME, regardless of how they played, yes, he's gonna be roasted in florida.
-
We will beat you this year. You can mark my words. We outplayed Air Force for the most part. It was 21-13, but then Basanez threw INTs on 3 straight possessions late in the 4th. One they returned for a 79 yard TD, the other they turned into a FG. It's disappointing, but I don't see how you can say Missouri is better than Air Force. missouri is better than air force cats over illini? put your money where your mouth is, chump
-
mark my words they will lose 4 of 5 to mich., purdue, pittsburgh, usc, and florida state. it's very possible, but i'm not gonna take that as a knock to ND. there's 5 more games where they could go anywhere from 5-0 to 0-5, but most likely somewhere in between, ya know
-
What? I can't stay a fan of those teams? It's not like I'm a huge fan of either team, but if I see em on tv I'll be rooting for em. so just cuz they aren't ur favorite makes it ok to support multiple teams? this is really odd double standard.
-
I wanted Florida to win that game too, i hate Miami Really entertaining game...just fantastic Berlin went from completely "off" to completely "on". That kid showed me something Zook is done in Gainesville, they should just fire him tomorrow.
-
Washington St. @ Michigan Michigan State @ Purdue @ Pitt USC @ BC FSU Navy BYU @ Stanford @ Syracuse Oh yeah, easy schedule...sure thing.
-
no, they won't, not with this schedule, and not with this team. a bcs bowl with this schedule would be a huge accomplishment
-
LOL well you guys barely beat us last year and we are MUCH better this year. About you guys always beating us, it's been an even 4-4 dating back to 1995. A team's history has nothing to do with how good they are this year, but it's a good bet Missouri isn't much better this year. Of course I could be wrong here, but I've heard the same old about them in the preseason. Again preseason means nothing, but it's a decent judge of how good a team will be. Baseball is different in college football. College football teams become perennial powerhouses. Sure the Yankees are almost always at the top, but they are the exception rather than the rule. history has no difference on how good a team is this year and you're a cats fan? oh, have fun with that, and to hear you talk s*** about illinois just makes me laugh my ass off nice game against air force, who SUCKS.
-
spurrier's gone, vick's gone, and miami just beat florida anyway, don't see why you'd root for those teams if you in particular rooted for players/coaches i absolutely, positively hate fair weather fans and have zero respect for them
-
oh and there's just no way in hell you'd go to a school for 4 years (or more) and hate the teams that represent your school. it just doesn't happen, that's ridiculous to think like that. trust me once you are at a school the teams become part of you, i don't know what kind of person you are if you think you could actually attend a college and hate their sports teams the entire time you are there. blows my mind. and this isn't just cuz u referenced illinois. this applies to any school anywhere.
-
you totally called me out, you are gonna get my response to it whether you like that response or not there are plenty of people that loved a team growing up and like an additional team now. my friend at purdue grew up in michigan and was a michigan fan his whole life. should he drop one of the teams? certainly not. i told you perfect reasons for why i like both teams, probly the best reasons you could have unless you have a family member playing for the damn team. i don't understand what you don't understand about this whole thing. as far as what you said about likin teams a little, actually no. one thing i am not is a fairweather fan. i make like certain players or stuff like that, and hate some teams, but i could care less about teams except nd and illini in college football, unless it's one of the teams i hate that ends up winning.
-
You didn't, it just sounded like you were saying I was wrong by saying it was nothing to be proud of. Geez you are all over me tonight. Not giving me the benefit of the doubt? Anyway I think this is just a misunderstanding. Illinois does suck, they lost to Missouri who sucks. illinois doesn't suck, nor does missouri. maybe we have different definitions of "suck", but just cuz you aren't in the top 25 doesn't mean you suck, at least in my opinion and ya i'm gonna be all over you when you try to tell me i can't support two teams when i have perfect reasons for it, it's not like it's some fair weather bulls*** also, no matter what happened today, i wasn't going to walk away from the game saying "wow, this illinois team rules". if we win by 3, you kind of feel scared. if you win by 80, you say "oh well it's a d1aa team" if you win by 27 you say "alright we took care of em and let's move on to next week"
-
we're not gonna fumble 6 times a week either, what is your point. ridiculous bias
-
same team no...but same team as houston? please wash st is not a bcs team, but they are an above average team, easy
-
As I said it's not the same as Cubs Sox, but that wasn't my point. My point was that you like 2 teams in the same region which is very unusual. Ok, but must you pick 2 teams? I just don't see how you can have 2 favorites. Sure I like many different teams, but I don't have 2 favorites. Also as a Northwestern fan even if I went to Illinois I wouldn't root for them. I won't go to Illinois though, I'll make sure of that. oh and about your "i like lots of teams but don't have 2 favorites" well all i can say is that any team i support, i support to the fullest. i'm not an 87% nd fan and a 63% illini fan. it's 100% for every team i support, period. so call it 2 favorites if u want, i really don't care.

-
when did i say it was special to beat them? when did anyone say that? illinois doesn't suck
-
27 points, it's a win, who the hell cares it's over and i look more towards the last week to judge our team than i do today's game anyway.
-
well what was awkward is that nd passed the ball pretty well, but didn't run the ball for s*** until real late. our offensive line BLOWS with what 4 new starters? o line was a disaster. they won't put up a lot of offense all year probly, but they have enough playmakers where they should be able to make some key plays in the game and keep it close, then hope for turnovers and let the d hold the other offense down.
-
comparing it to cubs/sox was ridiculous. since when are nd and illinois conference rivals? i've been a ND fan since i was about 4 or 5, it got passed on from my dad i go to school at illinois you tell me a reason to not root for either of those teams...good luck with that.

what the hell is your point exactly
