I make objective predictions and observations. Some fans would benefit from doing the same. I mean for real, i saw 100 plus win predictions in March.

... how about dump botch now......... ... he better step it up....if the hips are bothering him that bad then hit the dl for a bit .......that would give guys like graff a bit more play time......just a thought...... ... kinda hard to find something not positive about him......i fear we would be in serious trouble without him... as for frank and maggs.. hopefully they will heat up a bit soon and the rest of the lineup will follow suite............thanks for the positive things to look at brando..... they tend to get lost in our aggervation........... THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol like i need or want acceptance from people like you.........

Yeah, but out of how many game? We all know Valentin rarely starts against lefties, and Tejada's an everyday SS. He played in plenty of games to make the comparison valid. The point was not that Valentin is a better filding SS than Tejada (he is not: though he has more range than heavy Tejada and certainly charges the bunts better, Tejada's is arm is a touch more reliable), but that people seriously underrate Jose;s D. tinking he is this terrible, worst fielder of all time...which he is not. He is usually very clutch defensively (how many diving thefts has made in the lasty 3 years with ROB? A lot), making a ton of errors with noone on base. Before his hamstring issues, he had a ton of range and still has a very strong arm and quick release. Finally, his DP-turning and positioning is superb and that correct a lot of routine mistakes he commits. I would say he is slightly below-average defensively (if he was a good filder, he wold be making 9-10 million a year for a playoff team) all things condered and can improved DRAMATICALLY if he ever decides to tweak his throwing motion. He is certainly not the defensive liability most people make him out to be. Just watch some games. From what i see, Jose just makes his errors at the wrong times. I would agree to the slightly below average defensively.

Hey where are those guys at who called me a moron for prediciting 2 or 3 losses on Minnesota? Does anyone notice how OFTEN i am right?

Like i have said 1000 times(and what a surprise, once again i was right), this team has WAY WAY WAY too many holes, to win consistently. Like was mentioned earlier. Guys like Lee, jimenez, valentin, rowand and harris are bench players on most good teams. Our rotation is decent, our offense is much worse.

I couldn't disagree more...and, believe me, I've been telling myself that we are not good for a long-ass time to alleviate the enourmous disappointment, but I see too much talent on this team. It would be intellectually lazy and easy, IMO, to dismiss this team as "mediocre" talent-wise (as people like bmr and a few others seem to be doing). We are not the Yankees, of course, but we are just as talented as Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's. Easily...and that's what's so upsetting to me. YMMV. Example: foegt about 2000 for a second...in 1999 we had a team full of unknown youngsters and next to no payroll (half of it was Frank Thomas and he went on the DL for the last 2 months, lol!) and yet we were one bad streak away from finishing at .500. This year we are projected to be worse than that record-wise despite having a twice as much talent. If that's not "severe underachievemnt", I don't know what is... Are you saying Konerko, Crede and Lee tapped out at 23 that year? And Garland at 21 in 2001? Buerhle at 22 last year? Magglio at 28? Etc, etc, etc. Dude i said 85 wins and i think i was overly optimistic. OF COURSE this team has talent, what team DOESNT? They have talent and theyre about as mentally weak as a team gets. MAYBE a good manager could squeez 87 wins out of this team, but i doubt it now. They look worse than i had imagined.

He has nothing better to do, he thinks it will gain him acceptance lol.
-
Neither. They both blow. If i HAD to pick one, id take Macdougal, and use him in set up. Its not fair to make this guy a closer, at this point in his career.
-
Jerry Manuel and Phil Jackson are complete opposites, when it comes to coaching/managing.

gimme a hug voodoo/brando/idseer/justjim/whoever else....

dont mess with the best sweetie, and youll be fine.

Hmm well first of all i watch games outside of Chicago and 2nd of all, if you had watched so many baseball games, you wouldnt think the sox have good team speed.
-
hey dude, maybe you should follow another sport then lol. I dont care WHEN he gives up his hits or runs, just that he does. Now that is funny. It doesn't matter when they give them up, huh? Think about that just a little bit. Think about what? That i dont care how a closer got a 4 plus era in the nl? Why would i? lol
-
hey dude, maybe you should follow another sport then lol. I dont care WHEN he gives up his hits or runs, just that he does. And please dont waste your time with stat links. Im into fantasy baseball big time and i dont need to see stats, i already know them.
-
BUT HEY!!! HES SOOOOOOOOO GREAT!!! He has 12 saves!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
-
uh i do, i watch way more baseball games than you do honey. BIDDLE AND MESA ABSOLUTELY SUCK.
-
Let me try to explain this to some of you less knowledgable baseball fans. A pitcher can come into the game in the 9th inning, with an 8-5 lead, and give up 2 runs, and get a save. The SAVE stat is an absolutely worthless stat. A relief pitchers whip needs to be below 1.2, and era below 3, to even be CONSIDERED good. Biddle is just in a different role. He is NOT pitching any better than he was with the sox. He is in the NL, facing lesser hitters, when he is completely rested. Starting pitchers ERAs shoudl always be higher, because when they pitch into the 6th, 7th, 8th innings, theyre pitching tired. PLEASE stop acting like 12 saves is a great accomplishment. THanks.
-
hey guys, i know most of you dont look at stats, but mesa has like 13 saves too. His era is over 6. SAVES dont mean s***.
-
Well it could be the league has caught on to the fact that the sox are a bunch of mental cases and theyre doing it to get into our players heads..........I sure would If i was a major league pitcher.
-
Yeah everyone is out to get us lol. Dude the 2nd dude is always more likely to get tossed and suspended. Look at things objectively please. Thanks.
-
Guys cmon. Colon hit the guy on PURPOSE. I dont see how anyone can see anything but the obvious. He deserves a suspension.
