  1. My question is why do people assume people in the spot light are any different than any of us? They make mistakes, theyre human, they are far from perfect. If anything, its worse for them because they have way more chances to make mistakes. I mean s***, imagine how many women threw themselves at JFK.

Wait, doesnt Frank lead the AL in walks? LOL and hes blaming the calls?????????????????? I don't know man...I've watched a lot of Sox games this season, and it seems like Frank does get squeezed a little more than other players do. Maybe it's because of his reputation and the fact that he's not happy with the way he's being umped and the umpires are responding in kind, I don't know. But, the reason he leads the league in walks is because he's one of the most patient hitters in the game. Even when he's not hitting well, he's able to draw walks and get on base -- which is something that cannot be said of guys like Konerko and Crede. Well let me play the devils advocate. He leads the league in walks, yet is getting squeezed? Doesnt that tell you that hes taking WAY too many pitches? I just think he needs to take more accountability and try to improve. Blaming others, even if its accurate, will never help him get better.
  3. I dunno, i think some people take the internet a little too seriously. I think people like CLU are here to have fun, and i dont think hes really too worried about offending people. I could say the same. If you allow people over the internet to offend you or make you upset, you have issues you need to deal with. Stop blaming clu.....
  4. Peter Gammons gets paid a lot of money to spew s***. Once in a great while, hes right.

Good point. Personally i think Jimenez sucks, but hes the least of the reasons this team is struggling.

Real men/players dont make excuses. They just try harder.
  13. When you make bold, arrogant, inaccurate predictions is a public forum, you tend to get thie type of reaction. If she really has a "source", then she has nothing to defend. She will be right.

I admit that at one time Frank was a great hitter. My problem with him is and always has been, his self centered attitude.

My response to his reaction? PATHETIC.

Frank Thomas, hitting .243, says that's not his fault. ''I'm hitting .250 for a reason,'' Thomas said. ''I can't take responsibility. Pitches that are way inside are being called strikes and there's nothing I can do about that... I can't get any arm extension.'' Thomas did manage to hit his seventh home run of the season yesterday, but the book is out on him. Unless he adjusts to pitchers claiming the inside of the plate on him, his average isn't likely to climb. Source: Arlington Heights Daily Herald Yeah this guy is a team player, and upstanding person.

  19. And I stated twice in 2 separate threads the occupation of the sources. Well steff, whats up? Is KW gone by the end of the day or what? Yeah, we started hearing these "KW is gonna be gone any moment" rumors last week. Is it any moment yet? Anyone can follow a rumor and claim theyre in the know. s*** every once in awhile you can get lucky. If youre really in the know, you should be right every time.

Yeah i had originally said 85 wins. I am going to stick with that for NOW, but i may have to adjust it if they dont get rid of JM, KW, or both very soon.
