  2. 8:44pm: Geoff Baker of The Seattle Times reports that the Mariners did not put the claim in on Rios.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 09:41 PM) So when do we find out who claimed him? per MLB rules, you can't announce a claim unless you have a trade worked out. We'll just have to wait for the media leaks.
  4. If we claimed him, I think it is just to block the Tigers.
  5. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 09:22 PM) American or Canadian?? His choice.
  6. QUOTE (SockMe @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 09:20 PM) I had a bad feeling this would happen to Mark after the perfect game Mark actually said it himself since this happened after his 1st no hitter. Him and the team went downhill that season.
  7. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 09:16 PM) 45 batters, not innings. sorry, was a typo.
  8. J.P. would be taking 10 cents on a dollar for Rios at this point.
  9. 7:58pm: John Fay of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that "someone high in the front office" confirms that the Reds did not claim Rios.
  10. 9-6 Det, Top 6th, men on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.
  11. Wagner on being a cancer: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/16/sports/b...amp;oref=slogin http://www.clubhousecancer.com/clubhouse_cancers/
  12. Mark's been bad since he lost his 45 batter streak.
  13. QUOTE (Shamrock4Life @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 08:36 PM) Watching NJ get pwned in this thread (at least player performance wise) is quite funny. How am I getting pwned? Did we trade for Wagner?
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 08:23 PM) Awesome We are both using the same quote, so only one person heard it that posted it.
  15. QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 08:21 PM) somebody posted on mlbtr that they were watching the blue jays vs orioles game and claims they said they heard the white sox claimed him. Too Slow
  16. Found this as well, take it with a gain of salt: "I was watching the Blue Jays vs. Orioles broadcast on MASN and they said it was the White Sox who claimed Rios." MASN is the O's station.
  17. Thanks. Last weekend was sweet, got the entire NYY-Sox Series between MLB Network, WGN and Fox.
  18. AL waiver order as of today: 1) KC 2) BAL 3) CLE 4) OAK 5) TOR (Cross off) 6) MIN 7) CWS 8) SEA 9) TB 10) DET 11) TEX 12) BOS (Cross off) 13) NYY 14) LAA
  19. Verducci on MLB Tonight said he didn't get past the AL but doesn't know who. Cross off the NL and the Red Sox and Blue Jays (of course) Our odds just went up dramatically.
  20. Rios just went yard....he's in a happy place
