  1. For us out of towners....does the Score stream online?
  2. What is this board's love affair with Ross Gload? His first 0-4 game, you'll want to run him out of town. There is a reason he can't crack a major league lineup.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Please tell me you did not just say we need Paul to score runs I'd take my chances with Paul who has 21 homers over Gload who has done nothing in his career.
  4. QUOTE(ptatc @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) I hope Gload is in for Paulie tonight against the knuckleballer God I hope not...we need runs to beat the Red Sox. Having No Dye and No Paul, where are the runs going to come from....Timo and Gload? I think a lot of people on this board overrate Gload, if he was that good, I'd use him for trade bait.
  5. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) Who to blame? Thomas, Konerko. They swing for the fences everytime. So you want Frank and Paul to bunt? Hello, they get paid to drive in runs and hit the big ball? I don't understand your arguement?
  6. :puke Boo to MLB.TV, they are having the Boston feed tonight :puke
  7. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) Paulie will homer now, just to shut us all up. I hope so, we can't lose to the Tigers in back to back games, plus the Twins win in the bottom of the 9th.
  8. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) yeah i just figured that out. i have no problem buying the thing, i just wanted to catch the sox today. ho hum, i guess its gamecast time. thanks for the input though, bros. I just bought this a few days ago since it dropped to $50 for the rest of the season and it is awesome. I live in NJ and have gotten every Sox game so far (the Indians game and the first 2 in the Tigers series). It's great that I can switch from a Sox victory to a Twins loss. Hope this helps you.
  9. QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 01:13 PM) "The Phillies told one NL executive that virtually everyone is available, which could lead to a massive bidding war for closer Billy Wagner." - from USAToday I live in the Philly market here in NJ, and the news coming out of here is that Wagner is NOT on the market because the Phillies think they have a chance to make the playoff. The reason for this, GM Ed Wade's job is on the line since they haven't made the playoffs with him as GM. I would love to get Wagner since Hermy's back is a little shakey.
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) I'm hearing that Mueller for Romero is dead. Minny doesn't want to give up anyone from the current roster, at least not a contributing member anyway. There is a big deal in the works between Boston and Philly. The White Sox have definately inquired about Wagner, but have shyed away due to the steep asknig price. (Read: Boston will get him) I live in the Philly market here in NJ, and the news coming out of here is that Wagner is NOT on the market because the Phillies think they have a chance to make the playoff. The reason for this, GM Ed Wade's job is on the line since they haven't made the playoffs with him as GM. I would love to get Wagner since Hermy's back is a little shakey.
  11. You can put it on the boarddddddddddddddddddddddddd................
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) Detroit will finish second in the division and will push hard for wild card.... Must be the Maggs juice, lol Anyways...we need runs this inning...Paulie, Rowand, and Dye...theres your 3 runs...
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) The sky is falling again, we're losing a game through 6. Season over Its not falling...I'm just tired of seeing Crede then Juna just kill us at the bottom of the order....and I still have faith in Hernandez...plus coming of KW interview that no major moves are coming
  14. If this game doesn't scream "we need another bat and starting pitcher" then I don't what does. I know your not done KW, get on the phones!
  15. There are 2-3 Shingo threads in the "Inside Beat" sub forum...you may want to try to look there first.
  16. White Sox | Takatsu Headed To Phoenix? Mon, 18 Jul 2005 00:43:31 -0700 The Chicago Tribune is reporting the Chicago White Sox may trade RP Shingo Takatsu to the Arizona Diamondbacks as soon as July 18, assuming the Diamondbacks don't make a deal beforehand. No further information was involved on any other players in a potential trade.
  17. White Sox | Back Bothers Crede Mon, 11 Jul 2005 01:33:12 -0700 The Chicago Sun-Times' Toni Ginnetti reports Chicago White Sox 3B Joe Crede (back) had a precautionary MRI exam on his lower back July 9 after experiencing continued tightness. "It just came on over time, and it's not getting any better,'' Crede said. "I could probably play defense but not hit.'' If there is a chance that his back becomes worse, do you all think it would cause KW to make a trade in case Crede needs to go on the DL down the stretch? Plus I don't have faith in playing Pablo everyday in the dogfights that we will play in the second half.
  18. Here is some blurbs I found from Rotoworld.com: Damaso Marte - R - White Sox Damaso Marte will be activated after the All-Star break on Thursday versus the Indians. "Kevin Walker was optioned to Triple-A earlier today to make room for Marte" Kevin Walker - R - White Sox White Sox optioned LHP Kevin Walker to Triple-A Charlotte. "Walker had given up seven runs in seven innings over two stints for the White Sox this season." Willie Harris - Second Baseman Willie Harris is reportedly preparing to be demoted to the minor leagues after the All-Star break. "The White Sox are facing several roster decisions with players like Ross Gload and Damaso Marte ready to come off the disabled list." http://fantasybaseball.rotoworld.com/conte...ort=MLB&show=AL
  19. Sorry about the double post, didn't see this post http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=36745
  20. Looks like there trying to make room for Gload, Marte, and Hernandez.... White Sox | Walker Demoted Mon, 11 Jul 2005 01:30:11 -0700 The Chicago Tribune reports the Chicago White Sox optioned RP Kevin Walker to Triple-A Charlotte. White Sox | Harris May Be Demoted Mon, 11 Jul 2005 01:31:42 -0700 The Chicago Tribune reports the Chicago White Sox are considering sending 2B Willie Harris to Triple-A Charlotte.
  21. New Trade Rumor: Brewers: P Luis Vizcaino White Sox: Box of used batting practice baseballs Trade Analysis: This would be a great trade for the White Sox. They pick of some veteran baseballs that have some big league experience who can give them some quality use down the stretch. They also cut some payroll for a possible trade for a middle reliever that doesn't give up runs in every game he pitches. The Brewers get there pitcher back so they can make themselves look like the real winners in the Carlos Lee trade even though there win-loss record doesn't reflect that.
  22. Hey guys...NJ fan here, been a Sox fan for many years. Just found this site and want to say that it is great, wish I found it years ago. It has been a challenge following this team for me here, but I finally got Comcast to add WGN to there station lineup last year so I can see more games rather than following pitch by pitch on the internet. It's funny here in NJ, alot of people I know are starting to root more for the Sox, of course some of these people I know are front running Yankee fans. I hope sometime in August to take a weekend off and go catch a couple of games at the Cell. Just wanted to add my 2 cents, Bandwagons are welcomed so we can keep this great team together, go sox!
  23. White Sox | Griffey in Sight? Thu, 7 Jul 2005 10:31:05 -0700 The Daily Southtown's Paul Ladewski reports the Chicago White Sox could make a push for Cincinnati Reds OF Ken Griffey Jr. http://www.kffl.com/team/47/MLB
