  3. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) Yeah, what's next? "Don't feed pidgeons because the hookers might eat them and get fat"? best post ever!
  4. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) I really like Loyola and UIC. Perhaps DePaul. I don't think I could get it above a 3.0 in time for the application process. I could surely be up by the end of the year, even by January, but applications go out in November/December. This whole things been gnawing at me, and I didn't catch any breaks leading into the June report card. I missed a C in my Math class by .5 percentage points, and the teacher refused to round it up to a C, and that infuriated me, because we were good friends, and, besides that, ".5" difference = ROUND UP. It's simple math, and preached often by math teachers! Besides that, I moved in late May, and on the weekend I moved, she collected a binder worth ten percent of my grade. My mother misplaced iti n a box, and the teacher refused to allow me to turn it in late for a late grade, even after my mom called her to explain the situation. The binder was worth ten percent, and it drastically brought me down. I was furious about it, because I thought it was unnecessarily b****y to take such a hard-line stance on a student who never misbehaved in her class despite the fact that it was a misbehavior class, as she's a soft teacher. Hell, I had a B in the first Semester. I felt she should've been a bit more lenient to me as I've been a consistently good student in her class, and let's not bullspiff ourselves: if a kid handles his work, takes care of business, does well on tests, and behaves, and he happens to be half a point between grades, you give him the better grade. But she didn't do it, and that's really eaten at me. I narrowly missed an A in her class the first time around, by .7 points. I wish she'd rounded up for me then, but I understood it then, and wasn't so upset. A wide variety of unfortunate events brought me down a bit in the second semester of school, and I missed a 3.0 by .1 percent. Bummer. I heard loyola costs like $40 grand a yr, am i right?
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) All of you that are stressing over this loss should stop paying attention to the Sox for a few days. It really makes things a lot less stressful. For the last two games of the Detroit series, I Tivod the game so I could fast forward through all the bullspiff. Tonight I came home, saw Mench rounding the bases, and turned the tv off. I think that makes it harder. Like whe your watching espn or something and the bottom line score comes up and you see that we lost, its like its mocking you. Also when you come downstairs and the front of the paper shows the sox losing. It wants me to suffer!
  6. You know its getting bad when we settle for loss threads! Honestly i still think were gonna win the division, but this needs to stop now!
  7. I've never been more disapointed watching a game! Everybody is swinging for the fences! I just hope we find out that Bmac is starting tomorrow! Please god! We need to get our spiff together and get them tomorrow. Other than the one pitch i thought buerhle was good. I hate this shizzit!
  8. Big closer guy myself. Always loved Hoffman cuz his wind up is sick and he confuses hitters like no other. Also i loved shingo because of the frisbee. My fav starters: Jon Garland. I love how he just doesnt care lol. Brandon Webb. Nasty sinker, and he fun to watch. Roy Oswalt. Fun to watch with his nasty curve and the fastball.
  9. The white sox would have had to throw in all pitchers probably. The marlins have a good rookie for most positions.
  10. GET OFF THE LEDGE! and....... GET RID OF GARCIA!
  11. all this fish talk has me thinking long john silvers, whos comin with me?
  12. Lets hope the same bonderman that pitched last week shows up!
