QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) Crede defense >>>>> Blum Defense Crede offense >>>>> Blum offense Say no to Blum Crede hasn't exactly been stellar at 3rd lately, and he sure hasn't been w/ the bat either. I say give him 2-3 days off. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Crede's swing looks awfully long again. He's not even coming close to getting the bat head out on the pitch. He looks absolutely awful right now. Maybe now is a good time to give him some time off w/ his bad back, and plug Blum at 3rd. -

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) Why is that we score in the 1st inning or everygame then wait untill the 7th 8th and 9th to score again. This isnt bad though because you jump on the other team early and finish them off later in the game. 2 factors can play into this. A. The pitcher settles down, and B. Everyone's swinging for the fences w/ the lead. -

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) I'd throw Uribe nothing but high heat and watch him corkscrew himself into the ground. Curveballs down the middle will do the trick -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) Hopefully the Offense can get it going tonight. If they don't score within the first two innings this game thread's going to get very ugly. Last time Mark pitched against Seattle the game lasted about 6 minutes, hopefully he can dominate them again. MB is gonna need to shut em down w/ that lineup. -

QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) Pods, LF ... Iguchi, 2B ... Rowand, CF ... Konerko, 1B ... AJ, C ... Crede, DH ... Perez, RF ... Blum, 3B ... Uribe, SS ... Buehrle, LHP no dye vs a lefty, but timo is playing? thats striange, timo must do well vs. moyer. crede at DH i would rather have him at 3B and Blum dh, but we'll see how this lineup works That has to be about the worst bottom 4 of a lineup I've ever seen. -
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) Just got back home from the airport. Checked my phone (4 hour flight from San Fran) and what a disappointment. So lets see.....Sox play like s*** in front of large crowds at home. Not a very good formula for October. Jesus Christ. It's definitely frustrating. I'm petrified about how this team is going to play w/ homefield advantage in the playoffs.
-
Ozzie just said he thought the team was going through the motions in th e last few innings. I don't know if thats the case, but it sure looked that way.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) I know I'm not supposed to be optimistic....but I am. We're still 13 games up now, and quite frankly....we're not a very good team currently. I'm nervous about playing against NYY and Boston next week, with the way they're swinging the bats. However, maybe the intensity of the games will bring out the best in our players. At least were playing on the road.
