  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) I see absolutely no hustle by our core players, no urgency by our coaching staff, and just no enthusiasm by anyone on or off the field. It's sad that the only people who are hustling are Ozuna, Gload, Mackowiak, Sweeney, and Sandy. Someone might want to tell guys like Crede, Dye, and PK that the season isn't over at the end of August. The good news is that I have absolutely zero confidence that Guillen can turn this ship around. I wouldn't say this team has quit, there just doesn't seem to be any urgency right now. It's as if they expect to go on a 10 game winning streak and coast into the playoffs. Now As much as I would LOVE for that to happen, I'm not counting on it, and i would hope their not either. Instead they need to focus on winning each game on that given day and let the chips fall where they may, but it just seems like their not doing that. And just when the starting pitching starts to pick it up a bit, our BP and offense start to tank it........................ So It's basically do or die for the offense right now, they need to revert back to April-July form or were f***ed.
  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) Bases loaded for Thome. I think Oz may need to put PK back in the 4th spot, and move Thome to 5th, Crede to 6th.
  3. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:41 AM) i think he hit one in that 4 game set against kc that we split. but i may be wrong Your right, it was 3 weeks ago tomorrow against KC.
  4. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:36 AM) Anyone remember the last time Thome homered? Feels like ages ago. I believe it was against Toronto like 4 weeks ago.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) If the Indians pitchers we'll be facing are crappy, then I don't want to know how you'd classify the Sox starters. Their pitching staff as a whole has been subpar all year, we should be able to put some runs up against them, especially at home WOW, Freddy's popping it up there today. 90 mph!
  6. #30 for PK QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:30 AM) It's pointless having Thome in the lineup right now. Might as well let him rest till the Angels series. Were going to be facing some pretty crappy pitching against Boston and Cleveland, we can get by without him. Besides, he's pretty much useless right now
  7. Jim swings threw an 83 mph fastball right down the middle. Not good
  8. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:17 AM) Please don't go into a funk JD Well it's hard to imagine him keeping this up ALL year, he's due for a slump, but PK and Thome are due to go on a tear...
  9. Thats 5 k's in a row for Dye. Looks like he needs a day off
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) Kinda funny that everyone who has gone up there with a good plan this inning has reached, and the two guys who were trying to hit homers made outs. Crede could have easily tied up this game if he didnt try to hit the ball to Mars. A nice level swing would have been good enough.
  11. QUOTE(shoota @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) This is the game here. We need a big 2-out hit or it's very unlikely the Sox will win. yep
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) If he could get a breaking ball over, he would actually be a good pitcher. And he couldn't. it's no wonder he's blown so many saves HANGER
  13. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) Too many people on this site prefer Alex out there instead of Juan. I prefer Juan
  14. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) How about a wild one I'd prefer another HBP
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) Lets get Crede up as the tying run. Be nice. Lets hope AJ can bloop one here
  16. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) A slam gets us within one I'd prefer to see a 2b right here, because you know what AJ's thinking
