Has this team quit?
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) I see absolutely no hustle by our core players, no urgency by our coaching staff, and just no enthusiasm by anyone on or off the field. It's sad that the only people who are hustling are Ozuna, Gload, Mackowiak, Sweeney, and Sandy. Someone might want to tell guys like Crede, Dye, and PK that the season isn't over at the end of August. The good news is that I have absolutely zero confidence that Guillen can turn this ship around. I wouldn't say this team has quit, there just doesn't seem to be any urgency right now. It's as if they expect to go on a 10 game winning streak and coast into the playoffs. Now As much as I would LOVE for that to happen, I'm not counting on it, and i would hope their not either. Instead they need to focus on winning each game on that given day and let the chips fall where they may, but it just seems like their not doing that. And just when the starting pitching starts to pick it up a bit, our BP and offense start to tank it........................ So It's basically do or die for the offense right now, they need to revert back to April-July form or were f***ed.

White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) Bases loaded for Thome. I think Oz may need to put PK back in the 4th spot, and move Thome to 5th, Crede to 6th.

White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) If the Indians pitchers we'll be facing are crappy, then I don't want to know how you'd classify the Sox starters. Their pitching staff as a whole has been subpar all year, we should be able to put some runs up against them, especially at home WOW, Freddy's popping it up there today. 90 mph!

White Sox vs. Royals......Goin for the Series
#30 for PK QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:30 AM) It's pointless having Thome in the lineup right now. Might as well let him rest till the Angels series. Were going to be facing some pretty crappy pitching against Boston and Cleveland, we can get by without him. Besides, he's pretty much useless right now

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 11:17 AM) Please don't go into a funk JD Well it's hard to imagine him keeping this up ALL year, he's due for a slump, but PK and Thome are due to go on a tear...

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) Kinda funny that everyone who has gone up there with a good plan this inning has reached, and the two guys who were trying to hit homers made outs. Crede could have easily tied up this game if he didnt try to hit the ball to Mars. A nice level swing would have been good enough.
