QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 11:47 AM) I think some chin music is in order. The Tribe have been way too comfortable at the plate. good idea -

QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 11:47 AM) remember that 8-19 start to the 2001 season guys? I have a baaaaaaaaaad feeling about this If i recall correctly, we started 0-4 last year. Lets not jump to conclusions -

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 11:43 AM) this is some of the worst pitching ive seen in a while. I agree, its been horrific so far to start the season, no doubt. It has to pick up quick, or we could find ourselves in quite a hole early this season. I was expecting a "stretch" from Hawk there lol -

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) I truly have no confidence in this team this year. There is just no way we can consistently handle the Indians offense over the course of the season. I shudder to think about what will happen to Danks against these guys. Everything is right over the middle. your kidding right? Its only the 1st 2 games of the season. Our pitchers are making a TON of mistakes, and Cleveland hitters arent missing them -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 05:21 PM) SPeaking of MLB.tv my cable company (Cox) is paying for my subscription (the basic one, so I'm only paying like 20 bucks extra to get mlb.tv premium). What a sweet deal. Got the letter in the mail from them yesterday. They also said they are still in negotiations and that as a past subscriber they don't want me to miss any action so they are providing me with mlb.tv for free (WHOOO). I got the same thing. That is pretty sweet, although id much rather watch the games on TV....I do think Direct TV will have exclusive rights to the MLB package though, which sucks.

Great game by Freddy, gotta say i was more than disappointed to see Kennedy break up the Perfecto, but at least we won......Also nice to see the offense show up, too bad they couldn't have done this last night.......Anyway, let's take at least 2 of 3 in Oakland, 3 of 3 would be Awesome, and anything less than 1-2 would be BAD.......

I was at the game last nite, and tonite i was thinking about going again.......Boy, I'm sure glad i didn't................I think we are all still waiting for this team to turn it on, and as much as I'd love that to see that happen, I don't think it will. Not to mention Ozzie keeps making bad managerial decisions, like playing Mack in Center, instead of sticking him in LF for Pods, who can't hit. Putting unreliable relievers like Hermansen in crucial game situations. Juggling the lineup every freaking day. I could go on and on...........I would say as of right now, the only way this team makes the playoffs is if we can somehow sweep Detroit next week.............. as long as we don't tank the rest of this road trip.

QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) the sox need a 4 game lead in whatever going into that series I highly doubt we will have a 4 game lead on Minnesota, let alone Detroit, going into that last series. If anything we will have a 1 game lead at best, and just hope to win at least 1 of those games........But as i look at the schedules right now between the 3 teams, this is how i see the season ending out.......For the Sox. 2-1 vs La, 1-2 vs Oakland, 2-1 vs Detroit, 3-1 vs Seattle, 2-1 vs Cleveland, and 1-2 vs Minny...That would give them a record of 93-69.......For Minny. 1-2 vs Oakland, 3-1 vs Cleveland, 2-1 vs Boston, 2-1 vs Baltimore, 3-1 vs KC and 2-1 vs Us. That would give them a record of 96-66, giving them the Division title IMO....For Detroit...1-1 vs Texas, 2-1 vs Batimore, 1-2 vs Us, 0-1 vs Baltimore, 1-2 vs KC, 1-2 vs Toronto, and 2-1 vs KC.....That would give them a record of 94-68 and winning the WC by the skin of their teeth........So basically it definitely will come down to that last series against Minny, and hopefully Gardenhire rests some of his regulars and we can win at least 2 of 3, to force a possible 1 game playoff against Detroit, or even sweep to win the WC. Either way, it's going to be quite the nail biter that last weekend, to say the least.......

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 09:44 AM) The amount of people who would rather keep Garcia over Vazquez is appalling. I agree, Garcia needs to go BAD! Keep Vazquez on as the 5th starter or trade him too, but either way, Garcia needs to go!

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) I don't disagree at all with taking him out. Just saying after seeing the pen be real itchy as of late, if he'll stick with the starters longer than he normally would. Then again he doesn't panic... You just couldn't have predicted that inning happening.I will say Oz should have brought in either Riske or MAcdougal instead of Hermie. -

And the middle of our order go 1-2-3. I Seriously hope we hang onto this game, if only for my mental health -

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) Indeed. I wonder if Oz is going to keep the starters out there a little bit longer now. I had no problem with taking Garland out, I mean who could have seen this debacle coming. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) Am I the only one who enjoys the stories Black Jack tells more than Hawk, as they stories are about more recently players that we might actually care about? You can also tell that DJ has a definite friendship with McDowell. Different is good -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) Dye hammers another one and this is a triple thanks to hustle and the crowd is chanting MVP. He now is 2-3 in the game with an RBI and has a double and triple. A cycle is well within reason now -

QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Scotty Pods is playing with a passion and fire this game that has been absent the past few months. I think this bodes well for the remainder of the season. yeah, he's good
