  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) So before the Cy Youngification begins of Seth McClung. Any reasons for our lack of putting points on the board tonight. In his infinite wisdom , Ozzie has decided this team is too good. As a result, we have to loose a few games rather than show-up the rest of the league. It would be an embarrassment to the competitive balance that King Bud Selig has worked so hard to put in place.
  2. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) dont tell my girlfriend she would start calling me at work again. What happens in Soxtalk, stays in Soxtalk!
  3. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) go right for it; Jimbo, you're a good man.
  4. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) hot nanny or secretary...cmon Bull WHy not just add that chick at work I would love to nail. Acceptable was the key word.
  5. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) yeah jump on your balls, stripper are boring, go get yourself laid. Strippers: Acceptable alternative to wife.
  6. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) ill pass, stripper smell is creepy. Why are you smelling them. They serve other purposes you know. :rolly
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) Blah, Juan in a hole 0-2. Cover your eyes, kids this might be ugly Huh, I remember the time Uribe walked.
  8. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) f*** the conga line, lets do the twist!! Better yet, if Garland gives up more runs, lets all go out for lap dances
  9. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) josh paul's dad??
  10. CORPSE BALL hits another homer Hooray for the solo homerun!
  11. We would not be b****ing about Garland if the Sox were actually scoring some runs.
  12. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:06 PM) Hmm, any reason for Crede and BA to be out? Or is it just their off night? Crede's defense is far too good for a game against Tampa. Anderson's bat is far too hot and needs rest.
  13. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) swinging for the fences...blaze fllyoutball That sounds so 2 years ago ... :headshake
  14. This is a sad state of affairs when we argue the definition of corpse ball. Doesn't it suck to be in 1st place even going through a rough stretch of playing bad baseball/corpseball.
  15. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) Valentin was the king of corseball and yes this is corpseball, we would score alot of runs that made no difference in the end result. ^^^^^^^^ Alternative Corpseball Definition
  16. QUOTE(SnB @ May 17, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) not really, we're putting up runs. In either era, the question was not putting up runs so much as finding a way to beat ourselves. ie running ourselves out of innings, s***ty defense.
  17. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 17, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) Can't happen if you have the best record in the league. Corpseball was a term used in the Jerry Manuel era. Oh, but this is Manuel-esque baseball of late. And you can go into slumps which include playing Corpseball. Incidently, the comment is sort of tongue in cheek.
  18. Let me be the first in this particular thread to say it: CORPSEBALL
  19. When we are getting hits every inning, is hit and run really that necessary. This is not exactly Santana, he are hitting him.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 17, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) Who else thinks Jon's not going to give up a run for the next few innings just to spite you guys. Notice the Silence
  21. It only took 30 minutes into the game for somebody to recall that Garland sucks. And letting Greg Norton go with his hot bat and spectacular defense was a mistake.
  22. QUOTE(rudylaw @ May 17, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) I have never been Tampa but I have been to the Hump Dome. And the Hump Dome is the biggest peice of s*** I have ever seen. So if the juice box is worse, that is really saying something. Both have a ceiling of cigarette stained white and the acoustics make it sound like they are playing in an airplane hanger. But at least the metrodome has some character and history.
