QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) NOT AT ALL :banghead BTW I cant find the link to the vid anywhere on MLB.com u sure its on there? I totally think it can and should be discussed on here...but the problem is like 5 threads pop up, most of which celebrate the injury. He said MLBTV... is that different from MLB.Com??

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Thats what I was thinking. Like I said, take it for what its worth. If it's broken.. it might be obvious to see depending on the break. FWIW.. several people are saying Bruce is reporting this.
-
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) I understand this is news, and we can post about it. I just find it sad that people are taking joy in Prior going down, because he plays for the Cubs. Ohhh.. I thought you meant it was pathetic that anyone of us (me ) were posting about it..
-
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Not sure how credible this is, but some dude on the Cubs board said that Bruce Levine just reported that they think Prior broke a bone in his elbow. Haven't heard this, so take it for what its worth. I just heard this from someone at AM1000.. Brian.. are you at work today??

For those interested there's a link to the hit on MLBTv. I can view it.. but I have been told it's reeeealy bad.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) I'm just saying that Chisoxrd5 is right. Too many of you are more worried about the shortfalls of the Cubs than White Sox success. It's pathetic; that's all. Oh ease up a bit greasy.. if it wasn't for my boss asking me to get the scoop I wouldn't have heard about this until later at the bar.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) Shouldn't you be working? Should be.. he actually called to tell me to GET ON the internet and find out what happened.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) Is he a rightie?....it's the Cubs, I don't know that kinda s***. LMAO.. I should post the email exchange with my boss... Boss: What happened? Me: Prior got hit hard! Boss: Pitching arm? Me: Ummm... I don't know.. it hit him on the right elbow.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) Just remember.....we were laughing like crazy at the Cubs injuires last season early on in the year. Then, we just so happened to lose Frank and Ordonez for the season, and our season was over. Maybe YOU were laughing about other teams injuries..

Right elbow LMB.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) Um, is it his throwing elbow? any update? how did Busty look? My boss said it looked like Prior near collapsed when he walked into the dugout.. any truth to that.. or was everyone just holding him trying to help him downstairs?

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 27, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) Can this thread be deleted? How about deleting the garbage that posted it.

A man entered the bus with both of his front pockets full of golf balls, and sat down next to a beautiful (you guessed it) blonde. The puzzled blonde kept looking at him and his bulging pockets. Finally, after many such glances from her, he said, "It's golf balls". Nevertheless, the blonde continued to look at him thoughtfully and finally, not being able to contain her curiosity any longer, asked, "Does it hurt as much as tennis elbow?"

Of all the Cubs tickets I have gotten for my boss.. he's never seen Prior pitch.. he was like a kid in a candy store this morning when he told me he was going today.
-
My boss just called me from the game asking for details.. he said Prior looked like he was in massive pain.

QUOTE(Goldmember @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...c=33830&hl=xray Southsider.. usually always a day late and a $1 short.. :rolly

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) Just to add my two cents to the thread... Cleveland is a really good place to see a game. Just make sure if you sit in the LF bleachers, do not sit in a high row or you have to listen to the @#$%er with that G-D drum the whole game. From behind home plate is a good place to watch from also..

QUOTE(JimH @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) It's very possible. I'm supposed to grill tonite but there are clouds rolling in as we speak, so I may ixnay that idea. Red Door, Peanuts, Features, Lantern are all options. It usually depends on the bride's choice of cuisine LOL. The King of Red Door informs me that Pabst Blue Ribbon is now on tap at Red Door for $1.50, as of yesterday. I'm hoping to hit Bar Louie around 4ish.. if we do we'll head over to Features or Red Door. I'm getting some resistance from the "boss". I might have to leave his butt here. Work.. pffftt...

QUOTE(JimH @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) Yes, agree. quickman knows the most about Seattle, he's there all the time on business. But he probably takes the same approach as downtown Naperville and goes to the same place over and over and over and over ... LMAO.. you are too much Jim. BTW.. you guys venturing out to DT Naperville tonight to watch the game..?? Jim and I might blow this popsicle stand a bit early and head that way.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Myself, I am dying to go out to Seattle and check out the park and town... I hear it is awesome there... GO!! It's awesome!!

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) Cool...and what a great gift! May I ask what that cost? On the website it says $300...
-
QUOTE(JimH @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) Wow, I love all three (refrains himself from doing a travelog on Baltimore, Boston, and Minneapolis). Re-peats for me.. of the 3 Jim's only been to Baltimore so he's excited. Especially about Boston.
-
QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) I actually have tickets for the 19th...does everyone get seats together? Or just tailgate before? Tailgate before. For Jim's birthday I got him BP with the Yanks on that day..
-
QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 27, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) We should have a 'sox-talk' outing...has that been done before? Oh yea.. this years I believe will be done the weekend of 8/19 when the Yanks are in town.
-
QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 27, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) This is starting to sound like a good idea...maybe I'll see some of you there. Thanks Steff, I'll probably pass on the coasters...I hate lines! We're doing Baltimore, Boston, and Minnesota this year so maybe we can meet up at the Cell. As for the lines, they really aren't too bad. Not Great America like by any means. Have fun!!
