  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 26, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) The Baseball Hall of Fame decides what team you are inducted as. He has a little say but it is hard to change the committees mind on what hat you'll wear. They do now.. Carlton was able to choose his cap.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) It's like someone is recruiting dumbasses from WSI and bringing them here to troll. Don't blame WSI....
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) Jacob's Field has the steepest UD I've ever sat in. It's scary. It is.. scary and the steepest. And I agree with you.. stupid threads lately.
  4. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 26, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) And so it's justified that he takes his frustration out on the fans that supported him as well as management? Lot more fans in Boston.

  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ May 26, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) 4-6 per night. Clearly not enough, but so be it. Me too. I don't know why I can't sleep. I'm not stressed.. I don't think I am overly tired (which I have heard makes some people restless). I eat right, I work out, I try to keep on a fairly normal schedule.. but I toss and turn relentlessly. And no matter what time I goto bed I am awake at 4:30 ish - which is good since I usually use that time to run.. but sucks when we're at the game or out the night before. Once in a blue moon I will take an afternoon nap on the weekends.. but that's pretty rare.

This is Enterprise Rental Car's policy.. Can I rent a car with a foreign driver's license? Question If I rent an automobile from Enterprise in a country other than my own, what is required? Answer International renters are required to be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, a passport and major credit card in his or her name. The driver's license must be either from their country of origin or an international driver’s license. Some locations require the driver's license be written in English. Please check with the location you are renting from for their specific policy.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) ........and you're young, you'll get a slap on the wrist and have a good story that you can exaggerate all you want when you get back for the ladies. If he's caught he might only get a slap on the wrist.. but his father wont be so lucky.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:19 AM) ...not only that; I'm pretty sure you need to be at least 21 years of age to drive a rental. Forgot about that... Sheesh... it's tough getting old.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) You can drive here, I think you get a permit at 16 and a license at 18 in most states, you'll be fine. Belive me, you'll want to drive otta Az.......often. I don't think he can if it's a rental car.. unless he drives without telling them. Check the rental agreements (I think you can view one online). I think for those from outside the US you must have an equal to a DL here that allows you to drive alone.. which could mean that if you can't drive alone there.. you can't drive alone here.
  12. QUOTE(beck72 @ May 26, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) Cotts and adkins last yr for bullpen guys when they were SP's. Ozzie also has given chances to guys to fill the roster in Gload, Burke, Ozuna, Widger when other choices could have been made. Ozzie has "spoken" on this issue. It looks dead Once again.. there was a NEED at the time. There is no NEED at this time. :banghead
  13. http://www.tcpalm.com/tcp/home/article/0,1...3802064,00.html Volusia Christian school cancels graduation over seniors' prank By The Associated Press May 23, 2005 DELEON SPRINGS, Fla.- The small senior class at Lighthouse Christian Academy thought they were pulling a memorable graduation prank when they sneaked into the school and slathered Crisco on door handles, covered toilet seats with plastic wrap and barricaded stairways with plywood. Maybe, but it's also going to cost them a memorable experience _ as punishment, Principal Luke Pearson has canceled their graduation ceremony. He also told them to stay home the last six days of the school year. "They have to learn self-control," said Pearson, whose office desk the seniors replaced with one that was preschool sized . "Why didn't someone say, 'Hey, we went too far?'" In the wee early morning hours last Thursday, seven of the school's eight seniors sneaked into the school and pulled off their prank, thinking it wouldn't be a big deal. Using shaving cream, they signed their work "Senior Class of 2005," put up a poster that read "We love you, Mr. Pearson," and left a note saying they wouldn't be at school that day. But Pearson wasn't amused _ prospective students and their parents that day were visiting Lighthouse, a private school for grades six to 12. It took teachers, and the seniors, more than three hours to clean up the mess before anyone could enter the building. Pearson said he fears the stunt turned off prospective students, which will cut into much-needed revenue for the school with a student body of 135 pupils. But some parents and students said the punishment was too harsh. "We thought it was funny. I still think it's funny," said senior Dottie Jo Thomas, who was involved in the class prank. "They're supposed to be Christians and forgive, but they're not acting like that," said Deborah Clark, a mother of one of the seniors. She bought the Crisco the seniors smeared on doorknobs. "It was just a joke."
  14. As usual.. I'm late. Glad it was a good one Soxy!!
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 09:06 AM) What exactly can we bet on? Any Aussie gifts you would like? Let me think about what I want you to send me... I'll get back to you.
  16. QUOTE(Sirotka33 @ May 26, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) Why don't the broadcast live. Janet Jackson
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 09:03 AM) Most people think Kevin Walker and Timo Perez will be the ones to go with Frank and Gload coming back. Depends if the Sox want to keep Walker up as the extra lefty. Not sure what that has to do with a bet if Mac is going down or not...
  18. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) I break it down into this. You don't take your best prospect and turn him from a starter into a long reliever. Let him start, if not at Chicago, then down at Charlotte. You might want to have this conversation with someone who wants Brandon in the pen in Chicago as I never stated or implied that's what I thought should be done with him.
  19. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 09:01 AM) Give him consistent innings down there, let him cut down on the home runs he has given up, and let him work on some things. But I don't think that's going to happen. You don't think he's going back down...?? How much...
  20. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ May 26, 2005 -> 08:56 AM) Wow this is some great news.....Black Jack always has something to say Usually of the 4 lettered nature..
  21. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) Jon Adkins perhaps (even though he hasn't been that successful either). Arnie Munoz? But the Sox have shown they will take starters from the minors that long - term probably won't make it as starters in the big leagues, and put them in the bullpen instead. In the past there's been a need to do so, and that's a stretch of an explination at best - and a "pattern" is hardly what I would call throwing s*** at the wall and hoping it sticks . There's no reason Brandon should be in the pen. None what-so-ever. To put him there would be complete stupidity.
  22. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 26, 2005 -> 08:49 AM) Neal Cotts maybe? Mark Buerhle? Ozzie had nothing to do with Mark's journey.. and I wouldn't quite call Neal a success story just yet. Anything else..?
  23. QUOTE(beck72 @ May 25, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) The thought pattern and track records of KW and Ozzie would seem to suggest BMac sticking in the bullpen. QUOTE Guillen is hesitant to put rookie Brandon McCarthy in the bullpen once Hernandez is activated because of the lack of innings provided for the Sox's long relievers and the need to keep McCarthy as a starter. "I think this kid has to go back to the minor leagues and keep throwing," Guillen said. Curious to know what "pattern" and "track record" your referring to as well..
  24. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ May 25, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) Oops, just going on what the article said (and I admit I didn't read it that carefully). I didn't read it either.. just going from what he said on the radio yesterday.
  25. QUOTE(TheDybber @ May 25, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) I saw him on ESPN 2 this morning and he was saying he caught a 94 lb. fish before, but he likes to catch and release, so he didn't get it measured officially. To get it measured by a conservation policeman, it basically has to die. Probably don't have a place in the boat big enough and who knows where the measuring station is. What's scary is that there is probably a BIGGER catfish out there. Yikes. He said on M,J,&H yesterday that the well of the boat they were in was big enough and he kept it alive until after it was weighed and measured. It died after it left his possession in transit to where ever it was headed to.
