QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) You're right, but I think we can help it somewhat, or at least not make it worse. The only way to help it is to win. I don't care if the Sox are thought to be the biggest assholes to their players.. if being an ass gets bad seeds out of here and a good chemistry is formed.. and they win. I say be the biggest a-hole you can be. There's no crying in baseball.

QUOTE(chisox2334 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) Cassey Cassem long distance dedication from whitesox management to Willie Harris. The song entitled " Cry me a river" by Justin Timberlake. Willie Harris this is your long distance dedication.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Steff, Here is my question: Did you get this information from Kenny, Ozzie, or Jerry, or from an intermediary source. Because if it is not personal knowledge, than it is hearsay. There is a reason why hearsay is not considered reliable, and that is because you can not cross exam the one who has personal knowledge. It is not that I do not believe you, it is just I have been told by some one with personal knowledge that they were very suprised when I said the Sox were upset with Willie, and were going to trade him. They also said that they really liked Willie. SB Oz Jr, Rafael Santana, 3 current players (who I don't think would be appropriate to call out), Sidney Ponson, BJ Ryan, and with my own 2 eyes.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) I think it has more to do with how the TEAM is percieved by those outside of the organization. We don't want a reputation that we jerk players around, or say one thing in the press and then turn around and act completely different the next month. Unfortunately, that perception has long been around and I doubt it will go away anytime soon.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) But ya just can't do it, can ya? Just personally, personally that is. ROFLMAO, I'm crying. Hello no. It's passing the time. Funny stuff.

SB... Nothing I say of do will change your mind, and that's cool.. but Willie caused a lot of bad blood with him and his employer. No.. I've not been perfect at my job.. but when I do something wrong I take the advice and change the errors. Willie - I know for a fact - is not receptive to questions about his behavior and attitude.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) LOL, that sound I just heard must have been the steam off your head when you read 'oversized.' Actually it was laughter as I read the PM's telling me to "ignore the jagoff". Personally.. I didn't take your BS personally. Oh well..
-
QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) And tell him to take his oversized, stan mikita, short bus helmet with him. Oh Lord.. now you've gone and insulted the SB riders.. hopefully LosMediasBlancas wont be too hard on you..

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) This is exactly why the article pissed me off. Willie is killing his trade value for the Sox by these stupid comments. If every other team out there knows that Willie is unhappy and could start to be a cancer to the team, they won't offer as much for him in a trade. I think Willie's days are numbered here regardless.. his way of dealing with that will be to bust his ass and have a good spring. Which.. will hopefully lure someone to him. After that is where the problem lies. When he starts doing good is when his attitude starts to kill him. If we can get rid of him before that it will be a good thing.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) Perv... Yea..... so? Psstt.. that's a rhetorical question.

QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) Beck all i expect is a minor league player for this guy. Bag of balls would be enough for me.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) Please stop it, you tickle me. Then take your own advice. You disagreed with what I wrote, don't respond. 'Don't like it... don't respond, it's pretty simple', remember? But as usual, you get proven wrong and get hot headed, typical. I don't expect a reply since you've 'moved on'. I need the bathroom, my bladder. I'm still lurking.. not that this belongs here.. but since the idiot accountants are lollygagging.. I'll play. First.. check the source of that tickle. I don't touch strays. Second.. I don't have a problem with responding to you. Like I said.. boring day at the office today. Third.. wrong..? My opinion is wrong. Ok.. :dips*** smiley. Fourth.. hot headed. LMAO.. I wish cause it's about 40 degrees in my office right now and I could use the heat. And finally.. keep the feet up. I can only imagine how deep the s*** is in there..

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) Rhetorical huh? Wow, there's a new one for me. But if a point has been made to the contrary, that question becomes unnecessary. But it's good to see you not completely miss the point and that you don't need to resort to being a smartass to try to make one. Let's say your read in a weekly publication at work that 'Steff will be a huge part of the company's plans for 2005'. Two weeks later, you find out that the company went out and hired someone with your same title and will be paying them a good salary. I suppose your company has done nothing wrong and you wouldn't be upset or say anything to anyone about it? Don't like it... don't respond. It's pretty simple. Smartass.. touche. Ignorant (as in misunderstanding, not rude) is more fitting, IMO. And as I already said.. you think they handled it badly (paraphrasing) I don't. Agree to disagree... Moooooooving on..

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) Then you've answered your own question. I didn't have a question. You made a comment and I responded to it with facts on how the Sox could have stooped to Willie's level of crying to the media. They didn't. You think they could have done something different.. I don't agree. There was no question in there. If there was.. it would have been crystal clear.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) Read my previous posts in this thread. Once is enough. Agree to disagree.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) Can I get an "MVP" chant? Just for old times sake? No. And I'll give you the same thing I gave Jim, who is as you can imagine emotionally distraught over the thought of Willie not being around next year.. And for good measure..
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) All I'm saying is yes, Willie must go, but the Sox could have handled certain situations with him better, that's all. We'll agree to disagree. The Sox could have handled it differently...? Like maybe they should have gone to the press and complained about what a head case Willie is.. how he doesn't listen.. the real reasons his ass was benched... Who's the one running their mouths in the papers...? :rolly The Sox have been just fine in this situation.

Perhaps they started on Tuesday..? I heard a bit of it from the news this morning about some fiasco with the server.. ticketmaster was all screwed up. May 7th is "made day" Jimmy Zooks style..

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 09:40 AM) My wife is a HUGE U2 fan, and the have tickets going on sale on Saturday. They are having a presale for members of their fan club right now. Is anyone out there in it? If they are could I work out a big favor to try to get tickets through them??? Presale was Tuesday, iirc. And a mess from what I've heard. Whatever you do... don't get tickets for the concert on the 7th... you are busy that night.
