Yikes!! Reports are suggesting that one of the jurors has conducted research pertaining to the case on his or her own. Jurors are strictly prohibited from investigating a case further than what is presented to them in court. This could potentially mean a mistrial. Hung I definitely thought was possible.. I even thought maybe NG.. but a mistrial.. That would be soooo bad for the state of CA.
-
Not sure. Not sure if it's going to be a mistrial.. or if they will simply dismiss the offender and replace them with an alternate. I don't even think they (reporters) are sure on the offense. The court room is on the second floor and the judge has banned all cells, cameras, and laptops, so the info is coming out slowly.

I would hardly call the species "effed up". There is more good than evil in the world...

This morning several jurors were seen hugging their bus driver as she dropped them off from the hotel at court leading many to believe they had anticipated not seeing her again.. This afternoon there is mass action in the court room as there are rumors of juror misconduct. Something about a juror doing some sort of research in the early stages of the trial.

First.. I didn't call you s***. I called your comments stupid. If you're going to quote me.. get it right. Second.. obvious to anyone above a 2nd grade reading level you have no interest in this topic, as stated.. so why are you bothering to comment? YAS apparently has a strong stance and took offense at your ignorant COMMENTS - and shared by others on the board might I add - and rather than remove yourself from a topic you have no use for, as stated, you continue to make stupid COMMENTS about s*** you don't know about - seeing as how you're not a parent, as stated. Finally.. I'm estatic our opinions differ on this matter. I'd be ashamed to blame a victim or their family for any crime committed against them. It's pretty pathetic, IMO.

I do agree that health is a factor.. but hey.. ya never know the hand life is going to deal ya. If I were to have a child that late in life I would do my best to assure their future should something happen to me.. that might not be much, but it's all I've got. Luckily I have some time before I it 57..
-
Obviously you have nothing of value to add to the conversation.. and have expressed that these things need not be posted here, in your opinion. So why not just remove yourself from the thread versus intentionally starting s*** with YASNY..

No, I didn't until after. And the saying goes.. "opinions are like assholes.. everyone's got one".
-
See.. now I don't think that at all. I think if it is what it is and it's all you know.. then it's normal. Many women are waiting to have kids now. The average age of a 1st time mother is near 31 (30.884 - how they got there I haven't a clue) when 20 years ago it was 19. And I think older parents live longer also. I'm sure there is a study somewhere. Since they are more active and likely more health conscience.
-
And so the saying goes... opinions are like... No offense personally.. I just think your explination is bulls***.

She's definitely got something off the hook up there. I think it's safe to say all pedophiles do... If I were his family.. I'd be in jail right now for attempted murder. How this woman called the police over taking care of buisness herself I'll never understand.. she is a much stronger person than I would be.

Crap... Move this please.

...for child-porn ROCHESTER, New York (AP) -- In a show of leniency, a federal judge Wednesday sentenced a former pediatric physician to nine months of home confinement for possessing child pornography. Dr. Julius Goepp agreed to a sentence of up to 2 years and nine months under an agreement with prosecutors in which he pleaded guilty to possessing sexually explicit images of children on his home computer. He could have been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison under federal sentencing guidelines if convicted. Goepp pleaded guilty in August and U.S. District Judge David Larimer gave him a lesser sentence, saying Goepp stopped his illegal behavior and sought counseling months before coming under scrutiny. Goepp was arrested at his home in a sweeping federal crackdown on Internet child porn called Operation Predator. "To whom much is given, much is expected," Larimer told Goepp during the hearing. "Never again get involved in this kind of behavior, which certainly is shameful." Besides confinement to his suburban Rochester home, Larimer sentenced Goepp, 46, to three years of probation and fined $5,000. As he left the courtroom, friends and colleagues hugged him: "I didn't think I was going to see him for a while," said his wife, Tiesha. Prosecutor Richard Resnick objected to the sentence but acknowledged that Goepp had gotten treatment, and he declined to say whether he would appeal. Goepp was chief of pediatric emergency medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital until his arrest in May. Goepp lost his medical license and the hospital severed ties with him after he pleaded guilty. http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/11/03/p...n.ap/index.html

Boy's mother: `She ruined my child' BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The boy's mother knew something was wrong when her 8-year-old son began to act out at school. "He tried to jump out the window at school," the Stratford woman said Monday. "He was acting out last year - all kind of stuff." He even threw a chair at another student. Out of school, the boy always wanted to go to a neighbor's house, where he helped a 7-year-old girl with her homework and played games. He'd cry if he wasn't allowed to go. "I'm assuming he wants to go play with the girl," the mother said. Then her older son found a letter in his brother's room that shocked the family and authorities. The letter led to charges that the girl's 29-year-old mother, Tammy Imre, had sexually assaulted the young boy. Imre, a part-time receptionist, was charged with first-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. A judge set bond at $250,000 Monday and deemed the thin, blond woman a danger to the community. According to the arrest affidavit, Imre told investigators she considered the relationship "like a fantasy and she was the girlfriend and he was the boyfriend and that someday they could end up together in a relationship." Her hands and ankles shackled for the brief court appearance, Imre did not enter a plea and appeared distraught as she was led from the courtroom. She is due back in Bridgeport Superior Court on Nov. 30. "I just feel justice needs to be served and it's going to be," the boy's mother said Monday afternoon. "She ruined my child." The third-grader still attends school but is now in counseling, his mother said. The Associated Press does not identify victims of sexual assault or their families. Evelyn Imre, the suspect's mother, said her daughter had "a little mental problem" but she declined to disclose details. "I haven't slept or eaten in four days," Evelyn Imre said. "I love her. She didn't do anything wrong. It's not clear when the alleged abuse began. The boy's mother said her son visited Imre's house nearly every day for at least a year. Imre would take her daughter and the boy to the neighborhood playground and out to eat at a fast food restaurant. She even took the boy to a mall and would buy him toys and other gifts, according to the boy's mother. The boy and girl rode the school bus together, played board games and rode their bikes. "We were mothers of two children who go to school together," the boy's mother said. "She seemed like a good friend." An investigation began in September after the letter Imre allegedly had written her son had surfaced, police said. The letter indicated Imre's mother would not be home. In the letter, police said Imre told the boy that she doesn't "want anyone but you. Now tomorrow it's supposed to rain, you can come over we can (you know what). Love ya! I want you! Gram is working tomorrow!" She also referred to not taking pills. The boy's mother said she assumes Imre was referring to birth control. When confronted, police said Imre acknowledged having sexual acts with the boy. In the affidavit, Imre describes she and the boy kissing and fondling one another and being in bed together naked. Imre's daughter also told investigators she saw her mother and the boy engage in sexual acts. The boy at first denied kissing or touching Imre, but in subsequent interviews described intercourse with her, according to the affidavit. He also told investigators Imre gave him a key to her apartment. If convicted, Imre could serve more than 20 years in prison. Two bikes were strewn across the yard at the boy's home. Neighbors say he loved to ride his bike. At Imre's home, which is part of a public housing complex in Stratford, a front window remained decorated with a "Happy Halloween" sticker. Two other window stickers promoted an animal assistance fund, urging people to "speak for those who couldn't." :headshake

It's just more fun to b**** and moan about deferred contracts not being "real money" and in some way an effort to screw the player. It's 2 years.. and it's interest gaining. It's a win/win for both sides.

Jim finds those shows boring... I'm waaaay ahead of the game if he ever makes me really mad.. LMAO!

Actually they said no to a trip to the bay early on so they video taped a re-inactment of the act (dumping a body) but that was ruled inadmissable. Geragos said this morning if they can jump in the boat.. they should get to show the tape.. judge said no.. he requested a mistrial and was denied. I don't agree with a mistrial.. but eye.. I totally agree.. he is not that smart. But on the other side.. the other scenerios are so out there. There's no evidence of anyone killing her. Whoever did it covered their tracks very, VERY well.. or got extremely lucky. I feel so sad for her family, and his also (they did lose a daughter in law and grandson). I can't imagine losing a family member by murder.

Uhhh.. yea. What happened here..???
-
I guess the judge just called the Defense into chambers and they are waiting on the DA. Looks like something is up. I did read that today's events are in questions.. I guess the jury asked to see Peterson's boat.. at which time 2 jurors got into the boat and were jumping in it. the judge had to bring them into court and re-read their instructions and remind them that the boat on land would be more stable than in the water.. (duh :rolly ). I guess Geragos is questioning those actions as the jury was not granted permission to perform "experiments" on or with the exhibits.
-
IMO.. they should have waited longer to arrest him. He would have eventually hung himself. They should have played it cool.. said no suspects.. continued the investigation quietly. Kept a tail on him and nailed him when they got something solid. I hate to say it.. but he's likely going to get away with murder. I hope I am soooo wrong.
-
I really hate to say it.. but the prosecution didn't come close to proving their case. Geragos didn't have to do much to create doubt. The prosecution wants the jury to believe that he killed her in their home, loaded her in the back of his truck, took her to a warehouse where his boat was, put her in his boat, and took her to the marina 60 miles away, launched his 14foot fishing boat in the bay, and dumped her body. Meanwhile there is not one piece of forensic evidence to connect him to the crime. How do you kill someone and not leave something, anything..??? Don't get me wrong.. I think he did it.. but if I was on that jury I'd have a hard time convicting him with what was presented.

After seeing his comments... surely you're not surprised..
-
Wow.. that's got to be the most ignorant, idiotic, stupid comment I've read on this board in a long time.
