No sense in conversing with you as you obviously you have issues with people's opinions.. And yea.. he did get the shaft on a few calls.. but the fact is that even Koch himself AGREES that he's pitching like crap. he's wrong, too.. right?
-
Don't be sorry... But you might want to consider getting some new glasses
-
Yea.. no kidding. I mean.. c'mon... what's 7 lost lives when 5 saves.. errr... missions went off without a hitch..
-
Quite frankly I'm unsure what you're arguing about... the opinion that Koch is pitching badly....? And if that's what you're arguing.. have fun. :banghead
-
"Get some calls..." Fan, you do mean if he pitched better to get those calls... right?
-
Can you quote where I said he needs to go... Here's a FACT for you.. Koch IS pitching badly.
-
Did someone say he wasn't getting the job done...? :banghead
-
Not even Koch himself from his comments last night. Even HE thinks he's pitching like an idiot..
-
Maybe you should (to quote you...) "shut the hell up" and let people express their opinions.
-
Yep... Unreal, isn't it. :headshake
-
Then maybe not bother with the threads where those of us that want to complain about him, do.
-
Hey.. if you want to turn a blind eye to the walks and the erraticness.. so be it.
-
What has he gotten done...??? He's been lucky that we had 1 more run than the other guys. While it's nice to sometimes be more lucky than good.. it definitely doesn't equal skill.
-
Alrighty.. At least you're consistant.
-
Eye.. I guess I don't. I don't want a closer that can't hold a lead without a 3 or 4 run cushion. Kind of defeats the purpose.. doesn't it.
-
I didn't read the entire article and took the headline to be just (another) Yahoo error. My bad.
-
So if the score is 10-0, Billy is brought it and the game ends at 10-9.. you're OK with that..?
-
So it's OK as long as Koch doesn't give up more runs than we are ahead by..?? That is ridiculous.
-
Yea.. umm.. I meant to say stupid me..

Calif. Man Recovers After Nail Gun Mishap Wed May 5,11:07 PM ET Add Top Stories - AP to My Yahoo! LOS ANGELES - A construction worker had six nails driven into his head in an accident with a high-powered nail gun, but doctors said Wednesday they expect him to make a full recovery. Isidro Mejia made his first public appearance Wednesday since the April 19 accident that left him with 3 1/2-inch nails embedded in his face, neck and skull. He told reporters in Spanish from his wheelchair that he does not remember much about the accident, but is grateful to be alive. "He says that he's very happy to be alive," said Dr. Rafael Quinonez, a neurosurgeon who removed the nails at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. "And he told me this morning that he thought he was going to die. He was happy when he opened his eyes, and he saw that he's still with us." Mejia, 39, was atop an unfinished home when he fell from the roof onto a co-worker who was using the nail gun, Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Mark Newlands said. The two men tried to grab each to keep from falling, but both tumbled to the ground. At some point, the nail gun discharged and drove the nails into Mejia's head. "They're extremely powerful," Newlands said. "They've got to drive through three-quarter-inch plywood." Quinonez said Mejia told authorities he remembered a "shock" to the back of his neck and little else before passing out. Three nails penetrated Mejia's brain, and one entered his spine below the base of his skull. Doctors said the nails barely missed his brain stem and spinal cord, preventing paralysis or death. "We did not have too much hope that he would survive, but we did it and he survived," Quinonez said, calling the recovery "close to a miracle." Mejia is walking with minimal assistance and speaks somewhat slowly because his brain's speech center was affected, but his progress has been "remarkable," Quinonez said. With rehabilitation therapy, he should fully recover, he said. "He is basically normal," Quinonez said. Five nails were removed the same day and the sixth, in Mejia's face, was removed April 23 after swelling went down, the hospital said. Authorities cleared the co-worker of any wrongdoing.

Clemens Passes Carlton; Piazza Sets Record By The Associated Press Roger Clemens has only Nolan Ryan ahead of him on the career strikeouts list. Mike Piazza, meanwhile, has every major league catcher looking up at him now. Clemens moved into second place on the career strikeouts list behind fellow Houston-area native Ryan, and became the first six-game winner in the majors, leading the Astros over Pittsburgh 6-2 on Wednesday night. "This is where I grew up," Clemens said, nearly breaking down in tears after the game. "There were people in the park tonight who watched me in high school. I'm happy I got to get it in front of them." Piazza set a major league mark for home runs as a catcher, breaking Carlton Fisk's record with his 352nd in the New York Mets (news)' 8-2 victory over San Francisco. "It's maybe a little more significant at catcher because of the physical demands of the position," Piazza said. "Just relief, because I wanted to get it done and just move on. It's a little bit of a crossroads for me." It was ironic that Piazza and Clemens reached their milestones on the same night. The two developed a rivalry when Clemens beaned Piazza during the 2000 season. It escalated later that year in the Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees, when Clemens threw part of a shattered bat in front of Piazza. On this night, though, they both just made baseball history. "I'm very proud of this," Piazza said. "It's just a thrill." In other games, it was Florida 2, Los Angeles 0; Colorado 2, Montreal 0; Philadelphia 5, St. Louis 4; San Diego 2, Atlanta 0; Cincinnati 5, Milwaukee 4 in 10 innings; and Arizona 2, Chicago 0. At Houston, Clemens (6-0) struck out Raul Mondesi swinging in the fifth inning to pass Hall of Fame left-hander Steve Carlton with No. 4,137. He finished the night with nine strikeouts to run his career total to 4,140 — 1,574 behind Ryan. "I think what (Ryan) did was amazing," Clemens said. "Obviously, I won't make it that long. Right now, I'm mentally drained from the game I just had. It seems to get tougher and tougher." He won his 316th career game, putting him only two behind Phil Niekro for 14th place. He gave up two runs on five hits. "(Clemens) is one of those rare cats to pitch as long as he has and put up all those crooked numbers," Astros manager Jimy Williams said. Kip Wells (2-4) dropped his third straight start, allowing five runs and eight hits in five innings in losing to his boyhood idol. At New York, Piazza drove a 3-1 pitch from Jerome Williams off the bottom of the scoreboard in right-center in the first inning for a 1-0 Mets lead — and the record for catchers. Piazza kept the ball as a souvenir, but his bat is headed to the Hall of Fame. "I'm so proud to be in that company with the great catchers that played this game," said Piazza, who has 363 homers overall. "It's definitely a special position. And I'm glad I did it at home." Mike Cameron also connected for the Mets, who won their third straight game for the first time this season. David Weathers (2-1) worked a scoreless eighth for the win. Felix Rodriguez (1-2) took the loss.

So leave it up to the schools...? Kinda negates the needs for parents... eh? And furthermore.. why is a teacher any better at teaching morality? What if the teacher is a boozer, or drug user, etc..?
-
He did that to me 3 times yesterday..
