Alrighty.. however I was talking about this thread.
-
Ummm.. excuse me. Where was there a pros and cons listing..? You asked if people would go to more games. Yes, no, and maybe were the replies. Where and when did this turn into an attendance issue..? But there ya go again.. attacking a poster cause he doesn't agree with your logic.
-
I want to know who the other 2 that voted yes are...
-
You want to know what the scalpers are selling the tickets for..? Face or under. I have yet to see one selling them over this year for anything but the AS festivities. Anyone else..?
-
Ok Jagger.. for clarification sake in the future.. unless I tell you to F yourself, don't assume, kay. Your question was would you goto more games.. I said no and even stated why I said no and you STILL got on my ass. You want the policy changed call Fox and get Walter Jacobson on the case. A poll on Sox Talk will do nothing.

Does the UD policy hurt attendance at the Cell?

Geez.. half the people that walk up don't even know the policy! -
ALL of which was posted AFTER he called us assholes and told us to :fyou . Keep up. So then it's okay? I'd keep up, but you keep changing the rules. Someone made rules..? Point is that no one was s***ty to him until he attacked.
-
Ummm.. southsider can you help me out here. Where did we sit Saturday.. 159, right? Did you get asked once to see your ticket before returning to your seat..? I sure didn't.
-
You're right, it's not. So why don't you stop assuming things and making s*** up. Not one person said walk ups sucked. This was about you not being able to get to the park early enough to get LD seats, right? So you were told to buy earlier. You didn't like that answer or that no one would support your poll. That's where your s***ty attitude came into play. You still in your closing post choose to try to s*** on us season ticket holders again. You YOURSELF said that you don't bother to go out to the games unless the Sox are above .500. That speaks in volumes about YOUR support of this team.
-
Ahh.. Bill's just jealous that Neal's gettin all the chicks On a serious note.. Laumann got the shaft on this one. IMO, there was no good reason for this to go down the way it did. The Sox have a long history of giving authority then cutting people off at the knees. Just more dirty laundry stentch in the air.

Yeah.. you were not at all rude or confrontational... Steff, come on now. That was after the posts complaining about what I should have done & such & such. This was a non-confrontational thread looking solely for votes but suddenly turned into a season ticket holder's diatribe on why walk-ups suck. Well far be it for me to throw some fire in the other direction. Can you show me where someone said walk ups suck..? Steff, I paraphrased so as not to re-write a book. The basic theme of those early posts by the season ticket holders basically stated walk-ups suck. Sorry.. but not one person, except you, said that. Don't even see anywhere where it was even close to being implied.

Season ticket base is 15,152 as reported at the Season Ticket Holders party 2 weeks ago. Does that number include partial season & pkg holders or just full season? Would you happen to know the number of partial & pkg holders? Just trying to figure out how much is attributed to walk-ups like myself. It's not a matter of $$$ for me as it is scheduling. I'm out of town a lot, & I don't have die-hard friends who are SOX fans that would go in my place. I believe that's each person who holds a ST package - whatever it may be. No idea on the breakdown. Maybe Corg can answer that one.

You seem like a nice person, so I will be nice. I have no idea what you are talking about. I told my friends who were interested in tonight's game the story. The LD is sold out are we still on? They said no. They don't want to go if they don't get access to the LD concourse. End of story. I don't s*** on my SOX fan friends. I respect their opinions. They don't want to go now, & I can't really argue with them. They are still my friends & I think no less of them in their decision. Jaggernut.. you need to go back and read the first page of this thread. You were very rude and confrontational (by giving us ST Holders a big :fyou ) because we didn't answer your poll the right way. Obviously this thread took a wrong turn somewhere... but you were at the wheel. Why don't you head down there today and get tickets for tomorrow. Yes... they will be full price, but at least you'll have them and be in the LD. BTW.. just because TM says the lower bowl is sold doesn't mean it is. They ususlly hold tickets (for whatever reason) and a lot of the time you can get sweet LD seats right before gametime. Additionally.. there is ALWAYS guys in lot E selling LD tickets for face and sometimes less. Like tonight, they'll sell them at half price just to get rid of them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.. but unless you stay at hotels IN the city you didn't pay for any of it. -
There are 16 weeks of football for Christ's sake!!! Yeah.. so? I told you you'd be staring up at me at the end of week 1.. Now.. what was that bet..? What did you lose..? And oh.. don't use that tone with me young lady!!
-
Sorry, but it doesn't matter. Even if I wasn't a season ticket holder I would simply buy the tickets to the games I want to attend in advance. And yes, they would be in the LD.
-
Oh please... show me the pompus attitudes.. Complain about not being able to get tickets on DOG.. call season tickholders assholes BEFORE they said anything negative to him and we're the pompus ones..? Whatever..
-
So what I know some of them. They're just regular folks that put their pants on one leg at a time. If YOU think for some strange reason that makes me a better person then it's you with the issue.. not me. And how am I being an hypocrite...? SEVERAL people on this very board have benifited from MY lower level seats..I show no bias to ANYONE. How does that make me better than them? And who exactly have I belittled for sitting in the UD..? I sit in the UD for 1 of every Cubs series.. I don't have a problem with ANY seat in the park. And I've sat in plenty of them. So, again.. how exactly do I think I'm better than anyone else? Fact is you have no point here. Don't bother to get tickets yet complain when you can't get the ones you want.. that was the point of this thread. I gave a valid solution. You don't like it.. don't comment on it. Regarding the $300 comment.. he said he already goes to 12 or so games a year. That's more than $300. So pay attention, or don't comment. And btw, you're about 5K off on the season ticket base.
-
You're strange. Most people I know and am friends with ARE NOT season ticket holders yet support the team when they can. And sorry but unlike you I don't base my friendships on ones ability to attend baseball games. Heck.. some of my friends are even.. gasp... Cub fans who have never even been to Comiskey. You need some help.
-
Yes there is. Where you live has a lot to do with Sox fans. My sister - who is still in Florida (and married to a Yankee fan bless her soul the woman is a saint) is only able to get here once a year for the Cub's series and drives to Tampa when they play there. But she goes no matter what their record faithfully. oh come on, of course that is an exception. So is being parapalegic or quadrapeligic. So is being 11. So is being in a nursing home. So is being away at school. So are other valid reasons. I didn't know that we had to have all the obvious exceptions put in for the sake of this thread. I didn't say you had to. I just sighted one example. Geez Vince.. take a Midol.

christ, not only do you predict the results of the games, you predict the results of other people's predictions. Be afraid.. be very, very afraid...
