  1. QUOTE(bmags @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 11:51 AM) why would saving his money mean he wouldn't have a threesome? Jessie from Saved is basically nude in every movie she makes. Lets have a reunion special of the sort.
  2. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 11:49 AM) Really? It's a good show, but I'm surprised their share has that many men. And I agree: Laura = yawn city. When Vincent sent that gawd-awful low cut "couture" gown down the runway they blasted him (rightfully) for his model being 'almost topless.' It's like, hello! Laura's V's are just as deep. I like her commentary and personality, but her dresses put me into a coma. I'm torn on Uli, it's not stuff I would ever wear, but they're always so cute and fresh and completely not pretentious. I really don't like fashion, and i dont really know why i watch this show. I think its my obsession with all bravo shows.
  3. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 11:41 AM) Deleted the thread in Fil. And I watch it. And I love it (although, not technically, a guy). I've liked Michael's designs all season, but I saw the full collections (images up at Getty) and Jeffrey was my favorite by far. I think Michael hit the perverbial wall, just get rid of Laura, she makes the same thing over and over. Do you know 1/3rd of their viewers are men http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/livi...ctrunway27.html
  4. Which guys actually watch it? I watch it, and if you dont like that, shame on you p.s. you can merge my other thread in teh filibuster.
  5. I love the first one where he s***s at the toilet store....laughed so hard.
  6. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 11:07 AM) No. Wasn't the initial report from the AP? And it's supposedly based on a police report. Pretty solid source, if true. TO loves attention, but not like this. Very strange. ESPN had about 5 networks doing noting but TO talk, thats what i meant. ESPN needs to get a life, god i wish for a chicago based media network.
  7. anyone else think the crap network(espn) is jumping the shark a wee bit??
  8. QUOTE(danman31 @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 07:43 AM) I'm sorry hasn't Kansas lost 2 in a row in Columbia in basketball to piss poor teams? You're right Missouri fans hate Kansas and Kansas fans hate Missouri. You obviously are included because you decided to talk trash when it's quite clear which of the two teams has performed better so far this year and I didn't direct anything towards Kansas. Stop picking a fight, you're just being an asshole. im not picking a fight, go back and you will see i was praising missouri. It was tongue in cheek, but i said your ranking is making the big 12 north look good. I was just saying if we beat you again, it will make us look better, since your a ranked team.
  9. QUOTE(danman31 @ Sep 25, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) Missouri/Kansas is the dumbest rivalry ever. There is no reason for the two schools to hate each other, at all. Neither one of them are both good at a sport lately anyway. But hey, at least Mizzou isn't losing to Toledo. spoken like a true missouri fan. KU has kicked the crud out of you in every sport since i started my kansas viewing, 6 years ago. Missouri fans freakin hate the jayhawks, if you dont believe it, open your mouth and talk to some of your other classmates, not the chicago kids. I cannot wait to watch Mangino beat Pinky again this year. Then, it gets even more fun with Mike Anderson, im bubbling with glee.
  10. QUOTE(danman31 @ Sep 25, 2006 -> 02:28 AM) Mizzou is 4-0 and ranked #25 in the AP poll. I know they've played very mediocre competition, but they have looked good in the games. This week against Ohio they were pretty sloppy, but the defense looks amazing. #1 in the country in yards against per game. keep going higher, this will make it so much more wonderful when we beat you for the what 3rd or 4th year in a row. Haha, actually way to make the big 12 north look a wee bit better. Maybe we can join you guys if we can beat nebraska, naaaaa
  11. QUOTE(beautox @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) 6-2. plenty of time to get back into the game. wow so much enthusiasm...so young.
  12. QUOTE(whitesox61382 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) KU??? What makes you think that Gordon might end up at KU? KU didn't even make Gordon's final 5 before he committed to UI? I can't say that I have seen Gordon mention KU as a possible option once over the past 6 months(since he began having 2nd thoughts about his commitment to UI). He has said that it is between UI and IU. Are you a KU fan living a pipedream? I was on record as stating that Gordon will almost certainly be at UI next year, but after reading a few articles I am beginning to think that it is 50/50. My gut tells me that he will still be at UI, but IU has certainly made up some ground and I wouldn't be surprised if he did pick IU. Personally, I think Rose is a much bigger get for IU than Gordon(not that I wouldn't love Gordon). Next year, IU will have only one scholarship PG in Bassett who was a boardline top 100 recruit and hasn't seen a minute of college action. IU needs a PG who can make an instant impact, and Rose is their last shot. If IU loses out on Gordon they are still the favorites to land top 100 SG Jones, plus they already have a commitment from another SG in Ellis. Unfortunately, if IU loses out on Gordon, than I don't think they will get Rose. chsxfan, Alford and good recruiter often don't go together in the same sentence. Including this years current class, Alford has landed only 1 four star recruit in the past 5 years(obviously no 5 star recruits), and none of this years recruits are on the current top 150 list. I realize that recruiting services aren't perfect and you don't have to be a 4-5 star recruit to be a good college player, but it is hard to build a team that can consistantly contend for a Big 10 championship/make a run in the NCAA Tourny without consistantly landing top recruits. This is the main reason why I didn't want Alford to end up at IU. He has a mediocre track record of recruiting. It is nice to see that they do have 2 four star recruits in their 2008 class, and Alford usually does a good job of getting maximum talent out of his players, which usually makes Iowa pretty competitive. read my previous screwup few posts up
  13. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) No more nike and Jordan brand? What happened? dont know happened last year.
  14. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 12:21 PM) You have to be an adidas school to get him. ku is an adidas school.....
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 12:11 PM) He's not from Chicago. He's from Indianapolis. your right...im thinking about rose...my bad ill take my embarrased behind back to the baseball forum for now....haha
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 12:04 PM) The chances of Gordon going to Kansas are zero. Just wanted to clear that up. one never knows in the wild world of recruiting. I don't see it happening either, but then again it would continue the trend of us taking the best chicago offers.
  17. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) what do you mean? his approach? his philosophy? his results? while i'll agree he has had some notable misses, i also think he's had some good gets. if (big if) this class ends up including gordon, it will be among the top-10 classes in the nation, possibly higher if the fifth scholarship goes to someone like stewart or hudson. the recruiting class looks pretty dry to me. If gordon goes to IU or even KU, that would leave a class with barely anyone making the top 100. I know you can find diamonds in the rough,, but Illiniois is just removed from a national title game. I belive Weber gives up too easilly on the top dogs.
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 11:30 AM) Put yourself in the spot of the Texas GM right now. Would YOu bite at an offensively retarded SS and a SP who has lost his fastball? If I was him, for Young I would be asking for Garland, Buehrle or BMAC. There is no way I would trade a batting-champion type player for those two. rangers need pitching and lots of it....the could care less about uribe, they have spider arias.
  19. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 10:56 AM) First of all...Center Field is the least of our problems. The only reason Center Field is a problem is that Ozzie insists on playing a Left Fielder out there every time there's a righty on the mound. Left Field, SS, Starting pitching, bullpen are all much, much higher on the list than CF. Secondly, Gary Matthews Jr. is coming off a career year in a contract year. I'd say there's a very good chance someone will overpay for him, and get less production than they pay for. stay far far away from him.
  20. QUOTE(bulokis @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) I think Michael Young is definitely on the sox' radar especially how Ozzie show how much he like Young during the ASB. If we can get it done with Vazquez, I'll trade Javier right away. Javy and Freddy hopefully raised their value, i for one want to find a lefty pitcher and get rid of buerhle. I would love Young and someone in the rangers bullpen.
  21. QUOTE(blazewc77 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 11:06 AM) i was trying to see who our best choice for a leadoff hitter would be ? does this board need the offseason board. we need a rumor thread and a published report thread. might as well start now, it is the offseason basically.
  22. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) yeah, koshwal won't be coming. i liked his ability, but illinois was too inconsistent in it's pursuit of him. probably the same thing that cost them with tucker. not sure why folks are melting down, either. i'm not sure tucker was the top wing target. what i've heard is that is a.j. stewart, although frankly i think he chooses kentucky. I believe weber's entire recruting is inconsistent
