  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 08:56 PM) Michael Beasley!? Yeah, I don't know. His shot selection has been a little better since getting back from injury, and he's been coming off the bench (which is MUCH better than starting), but this is clearly a fluke. Doesn't mean it isn't awesome, though!
  2. Wolves just put up 42 points in the third quarter in Houston. Nice to see them bounce back from a tough loss to the Lakers.
  3. QUOTE (SouthSideTeacher @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) let's get rid of Noah--and damned near everyone else-- so we could bring in Howard, right? Howard >>>>>>> Noah QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 08:26 PM) Ryan Anderson pulled down 20 rebounds in 27 minutes tonight? With Dwight Howard on the floor for nearly 40? And the Magic are officially awful. That leaves the Heat, Bulls, Hawks, Pacers, Sixers and maybe the Celtics as only non-awful eastern conference teams. That's what happens when the two teams shoot a combined 35% from the floor. Edit: Holy s***, and a combined 49% from the free throw line.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) You'd trade Rose for Howard? It doesn't matter. It will never happen.
  5. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 06:56 PM) I can think of 1 guy. I'd disagree, but that's not important as it will literally never happen.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 05:52 PM) I'm not new to international basketball, I know that not every player comes and pans out. And I never insinuated that he'd have the same ability at all. I simply saw his name pop up and figured I'd give people an update, since there was so much talk about him around the time of the draft. And ya, if he is needed to get a deal for Howard done, go to f***ing town. He's got the potential of an Andrea Bargnani in the future, but there are no guarantees. I'd have absolutely no qualms about dealing him. My apologies, I read something more into your initial post, which clearly wasn't the case. There is no player on the Bulls that they should balk at trading if it means getting Dwight Howard. Obviously there are some deals that would be too steep a price, but Noah + Deng + Mirotic + Bobcat's 1st is nowhere near too much for the second most physically dominant young player in the game.
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 03:11 PM) Pekovic is an entirely different kind of player. Definitely. I'm just saying that while being named a Euroleague MVP is very good and nice, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll transfer that same ability to the NBA game. Maybe he'll be great, sure, but if you have to include him in a Dwight Howard deal, you'd be borderline psychotic to refuse to include Nikola Mirotic because of something he might do three years down the line. Not that you necessarily believe they shouldn't trade Mirotic in a potential Howard deal, but still.
  8. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 30, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) FWIW, Mirotic has stepped up a lot this season. People think he's a lot closer to the NBA than he was at the time of the draft. He's now starting at PF for Real Madrid and won Euroleague MVP last month. Nikola Pekovic was a stud in Europe too. It's a completely different game. Also if you have a chance to trade for Dwight Howard, you do it. To say otherwise is just being silly.
  9. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:45 PM) the "choker" comment, even said in jest, is super annoying and is only meant to irritate the bulls fans literally 30 seconds after the climax of a crushing defeat. of course he has a right to post in this thread, nobody is disputing that. im just calling the guy out as someone who goes onto a predominantly chicago based message board, complains about the posters who complain about the refs, then says choker after the star misses 2 crucial FTs at the end. thats real cool. If it makes you feel better, LeBron is also a choker. Feel free to call me out as much as you'd like (and wherever you'd like.. the post in the drunk thread was quite amusing), I find it all very entertaining. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to comparing the Wolves to the 84 Celtics.
  10. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) Quit trolling, and BTW, no one gives a crap about your daily TWolves updates. This makes me so sad inside.
  11. I didn't know you could call a timeout while traveling.
  12. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:09 PM) hey the T-Wolves are really fun to watch this year. Obviously you know that already though! I'd even go so far to say they're better than the 84 Celtics. It's pretty clear that Kevin Love is the greatest power forward of all-time, while Rubio is already the best point guard in the league.
  13. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) quit trolling ....this is an obvious post just to get a rise out of bulls fans daa84 sense of humor: roughly equivalent to 0
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:56 PM) Noah is clownshoes today. But still, if Miami knocks the ball out of his hand and it goes out of bounds - how is it their ball? It didn't appear to touch Noah. It pretty obviously hit off Noah's leg.
  15. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:07 PM) The one were LBJ initiated the chest bump foul that even Van Gundy took issue with was legit? Ok. There have been phantom calls for both teams. The Heat just do a better job of actively seeking out the contact, which is why they might have a few more free throws. All in all, the refs have not made a difference in this game and anyone that's actually been watching it should (hopefully) realize this.
  16. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 04:01 PM) The FT disparity will be laughable, just saying. The refs have been fine. The non-flagrant call was bad, but other than that it's been pretty even. Considering both teams have roughly the same number attempts right now, comments like these are just completely off-base and ridiculous.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) Jesus that is a lot of empty seats. 4 minutes into the game? Maybe there's some bad food at one of the concession stands and they're all in the bathroom. I was just thinking the same thing. FAN UP, MIAMI
  18. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 28, 2012 -> 05:11 AM) Well there were end game instances that were just group based in WoW, but I forget that was 5 or 6 people instead of 4. Are you lvl 50 in SWTOR yet? Nah. I've got four characters between 24 and 33, but still deciding which to take to 50 first. It's certainly possible things are different in the endgame, but I don't know yet.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 27, 2012 -> 11:09 PM) They're nothing special though. I feel like they're like the 06-07 Bulls. Considering the Bulls have played Toronto, Phoenix, Cleveland, Charlotte, New Jersey and Milwaukee in the last two weeks, the Pacers look like the Miami Heat.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 27, 2012 -> 11:05 PM) True. But Jennings has been pretty good all year. I wasn't referring to just the first quarter tonight. Can't wait for Sunday. A f***ing real team for the first time in weeks. We'll get to see how good this Bulls team (at this point in time) really is. Indiana is a very real team.
  21. Wolves inch closer and closer to .500 with a win over the Spurs tonight
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 27, 2012 -> 05:27 PM) Another lame Knicks crack. But that's fine. I'll take it. I made a semi-bold claim and I was wrong. And when I feel like making another one, I will. I'm not worried about my ranking among Soxtalk hierarchy. 15 and 8 with lousy defense is nothing to get excited about when you're making $15 million. Carlos Boozer is making more money than Kevin Love is going to be. Think about that, for a minute. edit: After a double-check, maybe the figures are actually closer than I initially thought, but even if Boozer and Love are making the same amount, think about the drastic difference in production.
