  1. Rally Crede gave Pods his lucky bat.
  2. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) Don't jump the gun. Seriously. He did the same thing for the last game..
  3. QUOTE(toasty @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) not neccessarily a player, but yesterday, it looked like ozzie had his FIRE jersey under his uniform yea, I was sort of confused about why he had red on under.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) Lets see what f***ing podsednik can do now. Just hit a walkoff.. you know.
  5. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) UP THE FIRST BASE LINE is not accurate. Since it wasnt up the first base line.. I dont know what you are talking about.
  6. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) Are you watching the game stoned or something? That was a flat-out awful throw. It was accurate. Just not alot of strength. If it was thrown harder, but inaccurate, the same thing would have happened.
  7. It was a nice throw.. Right on the f***ing money.
  8. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) It was a ball anyway, so that still does not lead to PK's Grand Slam. Get Konerko out and there is no issue. exactly.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Bad calls on fouls/hbp happen ALL the time. yea.. like last night, with Bagwell..
  10. Yes, I'd pay Konerko basically whatever he wants now.
  11. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) and he is a FIRST CLASS PRICK! Yea, but I said that in the first post I made in the thread, so I didnt want to say it again
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) I might be tempted into doing Rowand/Marte for Sheffield... He was right around where Konerko was offensively this year, more OBP, less SLG (actually -- Sheff had four more OBP percentage points, I thought the margin was a lot bigger). Sheffield is what, 38 years old? His production won't stay up for long..
  13. El Duque is capable of starting though, so he could be used if one of our starters got hurt (the only real use for 6 capable starters in my mind, let alone 7) And yea, if we trade Contreras or Garland, trading for Wang would make more sense, but I still highly doubt it.
  14. Hitting against lefties makes me happy. Come on guys, make my day with a 2-0 series lead
  15. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Sox pitchers: 111 pitches, 77 for strikes. That’s pretty damn amazing. Contreras 81-55 Cotts 16-10 Jenks 14-12 Edit: Now that I think about it, that can’t be right. Jenks threw two balls to Bagwell. Stupid ESPN. Edit #2: I’ve corrected ESPN’s bogus numbers. (These are from SI, and look to be correct.) yea, ESPN got me with that too for a little bit. I turned to my dad and said "hey.. did you know Jenks didnt throw a ball?" Then after like 5 minutes of thinking about it, I knew it wasnt possible.
  16. forgot to put this in my other post Why would we want a starter? We already have 6 starters for next year (yea, I'm counting El Duque), so trading for a Ming-Wang as you suggested doesnt make sense at all. What would we do with 7 starters?
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 07:25 AM) Pretty much inevitable; I've read somewhere a rumor of Rowand and Cotts for Gary Sheffield. Now why the Sox would do this, I don't know, but what would the Yanks have to give us in a possible deal. Someone like Chen - Ming Wang for starters perhaps? For Sheffield? The same guy he said he wouldnt give it his all if he ended up on the Mets? Thats the type of player Kenny Williams doesnt want on this team, so I doubt it'll happen.
