I wasnt asking for someone to do it for me, I'd like to do it myself for the "experience". I was asking for suggestions. Preferably serious suggestions :|

QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) Been here all year....no reason not to be here again! I'd just like to say that no matter what happens tonight, or the rest of this series, this is a great f***ing site and I really do enjoy talking Sox with my fellow Sox fans. I figured you would be here Alot of people seem to be going out for tonights game though :|
-
Personally, I hated them.

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) This is getting ridiculous. Yes, tonight could be the greatest day of your life as a baseball fan. It could also be the beginning of the most tragic experience, the greatest Sox-related suffering EVER to hit you. Indeed, a suffering greater than has hit any other baseball team. There's a reason we play the games. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Why do you even bother posting?

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) I'll be here, unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it. Cause ya'll are going to crash the f'in server and I have to be here to keep it running. BUT HOW SWEET IT WILL BE TO CRASH IT!

Well.. I spent all this time trying to make a nice sig, and I think I've come up with a pretty good one. However, I'm at a lack of words for what text to put on it. Any suggestions? Also, can someone suggest a good font to use? I would probably just use a normal font such as Arial, but I want to sort of "spice" things up a bit (I usually use something like arial, its sort of boring).

Who is going to actually be here for the game thread?
-
I'll be watching it with my dad while in the game thread with my laptop

QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) It's simply phenomenal to think of all the twists and turns in the games last night. You and I, among with a few others, were in the thread throughout. I'm tired as hell today, but I've never been happier to stay up late! Heh, I sort of drifted in and out of the thread. I wanted to concentrate everything on the TV, rather than posting in the thread after each pitch

just f***ing win. Thats all I can say.

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 12:07 PM) The question was....best ever? And for the reasons I listed...the answer is clearly no IMHO. Has the team played one of the best postseasons ever? Yes. Is this the best White Sox team ever? Yes. Am I having the time of my life? Yes. I just think there are more dominant teams than us in recent history and I don't think our set of opponents were all that great. I agree about the fact that this isnt the best team ever. This is the best Sox team I have seen in my lifetime, but its not the best team ever. Yet you said they couldnt set their rotation in your previous post. They could. They just have a bad rotation. Colon was hurting anyway, so I would have preferred to see him try and pitch against the Sox. Beating up on a hurt pitcher is fun. They have 3 legit Cy Young candidates. Any team with that is hard to beat.
-
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) The White Sox' 10-1 record thus far is a bit overinflated IMO 1) all of the teams they faced could not set their rotation 2) Colon was out for the CS, Rocket only lasted three innings, we didn't even face Schilling 3) All of the teams, overall, were among the weakest set of opponents an eventual recent WS winner would face in my opinion. None of these teams are the 2001 or 2003 Yankees, who would've taken us deep and probably beat this team in the CS. 1.) huh? Boston and Houston used their rotation afaik.. 2.) And? Colon sucked when he did pitch in the ALDS, so losing him helped the Angels. The Rocket sucked when he pitched against the Sox, so losing him helped the Astros. 3.) Weakest set of opponents? The Angels beat the Yankees, and the Astros beat the Cardinals. We also beat the previous World Series champs. If a team advances in the playoffs, they arent weak.
