  1. I doubt its Vladdy.. he hit, what, 1 ball out of the infield in the ALCS?
  2. Perhaps, but even though the Sox are World Series Champs, I'm sure that if it were Sheffield or someone, it would get more news.
  3. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) I agree...even if we bend towards the side of over-spending, re-sign Paulie....he has become the face of this franchise and we need that to keep getting butts in the stands. And if Frank comes back healthy, this lineup will be even better than last year. Imagine Frank for a full year driving in Scott and Guch.... Starting Lineup: Pods Guch Frank Paulie Dye Rowand AJP Crede Uribe Starting Pitchers: Count Buerhle Garland Garcia BMac Bullpen: El Duque (middle relief, long relief if a starter falters or rain delays) Politte (set up) Hermanson (set up) Jenks (closer) Marte (set up) Cotts (set up) Vizcaino (relief when we are losing by big lead or up by big lead) Bench: Anderson (Platoon OF to spell Pods, Dye and Rowand and play ~70+ games) Widger (back up C) Geoff Blum (Utility infielder) Ross Gload (1B/extra DH) Pablo Ozuna (Utility infielder) Everett???? Willi Harris???? Timo Perez??? Thats basically exactly what I want to see.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 28, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Don't forget that the source said that we would care about this person, in terms of it being newsworthy and a big deal. So its someone from Boston or New York. I dont think Chicago has anything to worry about.
  5. That better earn him a paycheck. Resign the man!
  6. Uribe's glove was above the rest of theirs. They were trying for the ball, just Juan's glove was higher :|
  7. I still stick by the Aaron Rowand catch off of a Richie Sexson blast on Carlton Fisk day. It might not have changed the season, but I think its a great example of the type of baseball this team played this year. As for something that sparked the team's performance in the playoffs, I'll go with the first game of the end of the year Cleveland series. We had clinched already, and our scrubs were playing, yet we still managed to pull out a win. After that sort of thing, you have to feel great against your team since your backup players can beat a team who is struggling for its playoff life.
  8. QUOTE(Nokona @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Geoff Blum will forever be a trivia question in White Sox fandom. Let us never forget that one. Hell, Willie's single probably will be to..and a tougher question none the less. Very true
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Mine is way better, the Unicorn kicks your ass. It is nicely made, but not my style
  10. On championship gear? $0 I just bought a Rowand jersey a few weeks ago though, $168
  11. Here's my favorite http://www.diamond-mind.com/articles/proj2005.htm
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) On the replays, it looked like Uribe literally had his glove up higher than any of the fans around him. He was literally in good fielding position. Thats what I thought as well.

    QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:17 PM) '99 Yanks went 11-1. The only other team with a higher winning percentage was the '72 Reds who went 7-0. Your sig is great. "We can't stop here. This is bat country!"
  16. QUOTE(mkalk @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) I just kept shouting YES YEES YEEEES YES YES! Then I ran out into the hall and high-fived another White Sox fan. Now I'm having a hard time fighting back the tears. Same here, but rather than a fan, it was my dad I'm stunned.
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) For out of towners, it's easily the best place to be. without a doubt.
  18. This has been the best week of my life. I got accepted into college last Thursday, and now the Sox win the World Series. I can die happy
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) Raise the pay roll over 90 million. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yes, please
