  1. Why do you guys think that Brian Anderson will hit .270? In his brief stint in the majors this year, nothing stuck out indicating he would hit that. He would likely end up hitting ~.250 with 100+ stikeouts in a full season (similar numbers to A-Row in '05). If that were the case, I would personally rather having A-Row in the outfield, since he's had the experience, and has had major success at the major league level. If the deal is for a big bat, I can make sense of it (I still won't like it, but at least it makes some senes to me). Pitching, not so much. Our pitching staff is one of the best in the league, and with BMac coming into it next year, it should be even better. Why trade the best defensive centerfielder in the game for more pitching? Do we really need 7-8 starters?
  2. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) do you have insider? cause otherwise the link doesnt work yea, I'll just look on there then. Thanks
  3. Mark, Freddy, Count, Jon, B-Mac
  4. Its Mark. There isn't really a question about it.
  5. very kickass, shame the game sucked
  6. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 08:59 AM) My off the wall prediction for this offseason was for the sox to aquire Juan Pierre from the Marlins, so I am going to stick to this prediction... I have no reason to belive that this is accully happen, but I predicted AROD getting traded to the Yanks and Colon going to the Sox along with the sox getting Pods in the past few years. Having said that I have been wrong about 70% of the time The White Sox are built around defense and pitching.. why in the world would we trade for a centerfielder whose arm is worse than Damon's and sucks at defense?
  7. Way to be Ozzie, you deserve it!
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 12:57 AM) Name 4 more deserving rookies in the AL please. Street Gomes Iguchi Blanton Chacin Thats 5, is that ok? And yea, thats my top 5 in order. Also, the rookie of the year is the rookie who had the best numbers, not the rookies who did the most for their team. And even if you claim that it is the rookie who did the most for their team, Iguchi was far more important on the Sox, while also having better numbers than Cano put up.
  9. I'm not sure how this could be considered Konerko's career year when he hit more HR and more RBI last year. Sure, his OPS was slightly higher, but its not like it was a real difference. Someone having a career year would be a 30 year old player who has been in the majors for 8 years and has a career OPS of .700, then finally has a .950 OPS in a year.
  10. QUOTE(TLAK @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) They did NOT have the best fielder at any position. Well, yea they did, but they werent recognized with a gold glove by the hack voters.
  11. This is just downright foolish. Kenny deserves this without a doubt, not some hack whose team didnt even make the playoffs, let alone win the World Series.
  12. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) This is the main reason he is never apart of trade rumors. He was in trade rumors earlier this year. Baltimore had interest in trading for him, but nothing ever came of it.
  13. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) I didn't say he had a great season, but Cano helped his team IMO better than Street. And Iguchi helped his team more than Cano helped his team. Whats your point?
  14. Cano doesnt even deserve to be in the top 4..
  15. And that reputation is gotten by being a great player..
  16. These are amazing.. great job
  17. yea.. 4 pro bowl appearances in an 8 year career isnt that great
  18. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 5, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) They have an injured QB, no receivers worth a s*** and no running game. They havent really gotten a chance to get a running game with the playcalls. If they start running the ball, they would be much more successful.
  19. QUOTE(palehose23 @ Nov 5, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) When you have a guaranteed contract you should honor it, but when a team can cut you when they want and you out perform your contract (i.e Terrell Owens, Javon Walker) then you should hold out. Walker being a great example why you should make as much money as you can while you are healthy. Now Walker will be lucky to get his market value after tearing up his ACL. So when you are getting paid millions of dollars a year to play a game isnt enough, you should hold out for even more money?
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 4, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) They're very susceptible against the run and pass now This the same team that completely shut down the best overall player in the game? (LT)
