  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Sometimes, it's more fun not to use green. Like when I made some reference that we should have never got rid of Shingo for Jenks (back when Jenks was KRod). I like the green more, because there are some people who actually do think that Gload is better than Konerko..
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) Gload would have made that play!!!! That's it, PK can leave for Free Agency. green?
  3. @ SoxFan101 The whole scenario there seems like it would hurt the Sox more than help. a.) Overbay and Tracy wont match Konerko's production, especially with Overbay batting 4th. He's not a cleanup hitter, he's more of a #5/6 hitter. b.) Crede is a better 3b than Mueller (sorry, but its true, especially if Crede can finally come into his own on offense). Crede's defense is much better, and he still has potential to be a good offensive player. If his September this year is a taste of his talent, I wouldnt want to see him go. c.) Not sure where Uribe went, but I wouldnt want to see him out of SS either, especially when being replaced by Furcal. His numbers on the road are complete crap, so losing one of the best defensive SS's (Uribe who has some good power too), and replacing him with Furcal isnt the best thing for this team imo. d.) Trading Rowand? Sorry, but no. Rowand is one of the best defensive CF's in the league, and while his offense this year was down from 2004, it should go back up in 2006. e.) Trading Vizcaino and Marte. While I know alot of people in Chicago don't like him, I think he can be a dominant reliever out of the pen, and just struggled in his first year in the AL. He should rebound nicely in 2006. As for Marte, well.. he just needs to work on his control. If he can get some more control in the off-season, he can be a shutdown lefty in relief.
  4. Call me crazy, but Konerko is one of the best first basemen in the league at picking balls out of the dirt.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) No offense, but lets just root for both of them to lose their next 5 games, and worry about who wins the AL East after the last series. There's nothing good about Boston winning in regards to the White Sox. This post reminded me of one of the posts a few months ago about wanting to lose some games so we were tested at the end of the year or being worried about the A's, etc. Now that they are tied, im rooting for both to lose. I'm a White Sox fan first, and a Yankee hater second.
  6. Again, Boston winning is good in my opinion. I hate the Yankees, so them losing and Boston winning puts New York one step closer to missing the playoffs.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 07:11 PM) God, Can this Rally Crede thing just end already........... No. And you have the avatar too
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 07:07 PM) Anyone else find it funny when people b**** that KW didn't replace Ordonez's offense? Dye does lead all RF in homers. yes.
  9. Dye better not get taken out of the #5 spot in the lineup..
  10. JERMAINE f***ING DYE~!!!!!1 f*** YES. PUT IT ON THE BOARD.
  11. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Were getting ABSOLUTELY no help whatsoever. :banghead It's all up to us. Keep it going guys!! Yankees lost to Toronto. Thats help. And I would rather see Boston win the AL East than New York, so Boston winning while the Yankees lost is good for me.
  12. YES PAULIE!!1 And good call by Cora holding AJ at third.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) I just don't like giving up outs against Mays, but with the way they've been hitting w/RISP, what the hell. Yea, I understand your point. Especially with Pods speed on second, a basehit would score him anyway.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 06:54 PM) No bunting for Iguchi here. I like the bunt.
