  1. Danks get out of the second allowing only 1. 1-0 Giants.
  2. Aurillia with a solo shot.
  3. SF broadcaster proclaims that AJ "Boo-zynski" is batting second. Classy.
  4. Cliff Lee has given up 4 runs, 3 earned (I believe), in 5 innings. Normally this wouldn't be news, but this year it is worth noting.
  5. QUOTE (The Beast @ May 18, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) Yeah that. I'm going to avoid using the word I used last time this situation arose.
  6. The Giants were given every opportunity to take this game and didn't do anything. The Sox needed to steal a game like that for the pitchers. Fantastic.
  7. Durham with the double. 1 out.
  8. That was a nasty curve for the K.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:43 AM) Wow, Thome got a pitch to murder, and fouled it off. Every AB he gets a pitch and fouls it. No pitcher is afraid of him. Either throw junk off the plate or straight fastballs. He can't hit it.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:36 AM) It seems like 2 now with Dotel. Dotel gives me the willies when he come in, but he has been effective. I hope this keeps up because the games are shortening up for the starters.
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:35 AM) i honestly dont remember linebrink being criticized much at all on here...i think everyone has said hes done a pretty darn good job I'm actually going to trust that lostfan is right. I've seen a lot of odd things around here. Not that so much. But anything is possible
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:32 AM) I'd be interested in knowing what the batting average from our leadoff spot has been this season, as well as the batting average from the clean-up spot. .216 - leadoff .215 - 4th .297 - 5th Dye is WAY better batting 5th than 4th.
  13. QUOTE (YASNY @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:30 AM) They are pitching around him. And wisely too.
  14. I thought that ball was off the wall, or would have been, had the bat not exploded.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:23 AM) That was definitely a change-up. Great managing by Ozzie that inning. Yeah I didn't know what he threw, but he had it working.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:21 AM) We need Boone to get confidence in his slider again. He's more of a fastball only pitcher now. How was that for you?
  17. Wass, we need a good one. Nice play by Crede.
  18. Out at second? I need a replay. But Anderson certainly did not get down there as fast as I thought he would.
  19. QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:08 AM) hahaha...no way in hell anyone in here woulda called that, thats classic Hawk... I actually thought Swisher was going yard.
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 17, 2008 -> 12:05 AM) Alexei will not go yard here Hawk. Get off the kool-aid. So he shouldn't? I don't get it. I thought runs were good. And I f***ING OWN YOU!!
