  1. We skipped last week given the draft, but the Hot Prospects List is back and ready for your enjoyment. Rob tells you who's been hot in the last couple weeks, and there were plenty of good performances to choose from.
  2. Good write-up, covers most of the key ground. One other note - the Sox DID have a team in the Appalachian League, which is a rookie league but about on par with SS A leagues for talent. They moved that team to become the AZL, where they could have the youngest players at their own facility.
  3. So, the weather for tomorrow night looks basically perfect. And there are still tickets left in our block. If you haven't bought one already, you should!
  4. Get up to date on not just the draft, but also a pretty big raft of transactions, two teams vying for playoff spots and more.
  5. Up to 19 signed on the Tracker as of this morning.
  6. We are now up to 17 signed on the FutureSox Tracker. That's a combo of news reports, our own sourcing, and social media of the players.
  7. In this week's column, Julie takes a look at eight bright spots on the farm, giving Sox fans all manner of reasons to be optimistic.
  8. Info on all 40 picks on the Tracker, in case you missed any. Starting today, we begin gathering signing and assignment reports. Tracker will be updated with those pretty constantly over the next few weeks.
  9. Starts 11am CT. Rounds 11-40. They go fast. Here is the Tracker, which will have at least small blurbs on literally every White Sox pick. Discuss...
  10. And the write-up on the 4th round pick, Lency Delgado We will do one of these for the 5th rounder too, and maybe another one if there is some interesting or clearly over-slot player that comes up.
  11. Detailed write-up of the Sox' 3rd round selection, LDP Konnor Pilkington
  12. There is now a pinned Day 2 thread. We will probably close this one eventually, maybe later today.
  13. Today at Noon CT, Day 2 of the Draft begins. Rounds 3 thru 10. Here is the Draft Tracker for White Sox picks - bookmark it! Discuss...
  14. Nick Madrigal detailed write-up here.
  15. I bet he goes to AA around the MiLB All Star break.
  16. The official Draft Thread is at this link, in PHT. Closing this one to redirect discussion to a single thread.
  17. The official Draft Thread is at this link, in PHT.
  18. Draft discussion moved to this pinned thread in PHT.
  19. The 2018 MLB Draft begins tonight. Here is the FutureSox Draft Tracker, which will be updated close to real-time with details and links to deeper content. For you to bookmark. Discussion in this thread as well. Go!
  20. I haven't seen him in person, nor do I know of any scouting types who have. So it's hard to say, But he definitely needs to move up a level to be challenged.
  21. Once the Draft Tracker goes live, this thread will be closed, and there will be a thread pinned in PHT for the draft.
  22. There will be a Draft Thread pinned in PHT as soon as the FS Draft Tracker goes up. Others will be closed and redirected to that one, so that it's in one place.
  23. Get your weekly updates here, before the Draft Day craziness begins!
  24. $20M for an extra year of arb? Highly unlikely, and even if it's so, that would only happen if the guy was putting up MVP numbers. Not to mention it's maybe up to some large number like that, 6 years from now, if ever. I actually prefer keeping him in AAA past Super 2 - which by the way just passed the other day. I am just saying, you have a really exagerrated sense of reality here.
  25. Yeah, the Sox do their own version now too. Worth noting, talking with Fegan about that, the local beat guys who vote for that award usually go with whomever they want to interview (because the are on a conf call after with the winners).
