QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) And Kevin Kennedy picks the Angels to win the series. And he's picking them to go against the mainstream beliefs. How unbelievable is that?

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Wasn't that a great line about Ozzie about not being a curse but horses*** teams? Even when I wonder what the hell he is doing, I acknowledge that he is a joy to listen to and to read Yeah, that was great. If only the media would listen....

Guillen on "The Curse"
Guillen is a genius. He knows the truth, and isn't ashamed to say it.

Feelings...
I'm starting to feel sick again. Last time it didn't happen until the 6th inning.

QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) You're in college and you can't get alcohol? It's not that I can't...It's just that it's technically illegal. I'm sure getting alcohol would be fairly easy. There is a guy that's in his 30s living in the dorms--I think he is a little slow, and I'm sure he would buy some.

QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) Alcohol. Lots of alcohol. What about those of us who can't legally buy alcohol? What do we do?

hot off the press
That is so funny, although making us look like Michael Jackson is just wrong. He's from THEIR neck of the woods, not ours.

Around the horn
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) I dont care who wins, I just want to see a 20 inning afair. Yeah. Break the record that was set yesterday. That would be awesome. The winner would almost have to use up their whole lineup, although the other game was in the NL, so this game probably wouldn't use as many pinch hitters, and wouldn't go to the bullpen as much.

24 hours from now
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) that may be the first time anyone has been happy about almost 5 hours of class. especially considering 3 and a half of those hours are lectures, and I have to walk a half mile to get to them.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Man tomorrow is gonna be a loooooooong day Agreed. I'm sort of glad I have four and a half hours of classes to take my mind off of it.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) So you never moved on after all those guys retired? Nope. Once I picked my favorite teams, I stuck by them.

24 hours from now
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) wow, you have a real mixed bag of favorite teams there, any particular reason? You mean how they're all over the map? I started liking the Cowboys because of Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and MIchael Irvin. I started liking the White Sox to piss off my mother (a Cubs fan). I like the Avalanche because of Patrick Roy.

ALCS
Tonight is the deciding game. Time to get your final votes in!

24 hours from now
I'm getting nervous now, since we don't know who we will be facing....but at least they will be tired, whoever they are. In just 26 hours, when TV coverage starts, I will not be able to eat.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
They're not going to push back game 1. FOX would never allow that. They've been putting ads on the air for the last few days stating the ALCS would be on Tuesday night. If they bump back the ALCS and bump the NLCS forward, there would be many New York fans upset with FOX, and that seems to be all they care about, since those fans tend to spend a lot of $$$$.
