I think it was a typo. JapaneseBaseball.com lists his name as Hideo. Reifert was probably thinking of Hideki Matsui or Hideki Irabu and made the mistake.

It wasn't very tough to predict how long it would take until Singleton started talking about hitting for the cycle and playing for the Devil Rays last season. He sounded a lot like the radio version of DJ, just replace Japan with Tampa Bay. Hopefully, Singleton will get better with some more practice.

Wow, Nomo is 37 years old. Definately for Charlotte. Lawrence Holmes just reported this again -- that the Sox WILL sign Nomo to a minor league deal soon.
