Ozzie does seem to manage the pitching staff like a crazy man. He leaves starters in too long, is far too obsessed with the lefty/lefty matchup, and screws around too much about when he uses his closer. But then again, most managers share these same qualities.

It's pretty sad that Jeff Nelson might end up being better than three of our current relievers -- Politte, Thornton, and Logan.

It makes sense. If you can have a LOOGY who just gets lefties out, why can't you have a ROOGY who is great at getting righties out? Afterall, there are a ton more righty hitters than lefties. And I like Gload but he's the guy to dump to open up a spot for Nelson. Afterall, the guy has 6 freaking AB's. What good is he if Ozzie will never play him anyways?
