If Garland keeps pitching like this (i.e. no groundballs), he is going to get hammered at the Cell in 90+ degree weather just like SSI said.

He gave up 6 hits, 2 walks, and 4 earned runs in 6 innings at 97 pitches. His ERA is now 6.11. Doesn't look like a good outing to me, especially since he wasn't getting any groundouts and he's a sinkerballer.

I disagree. Sinkerballers are supposed to induce groundballs, not deep flyouts.

Garland at 97 pitches. I would let him throw a towel over his head for the day. Of course with Ozzie, he will probably go another inning.

Ground outs-fly outs: Garland 4-9 He never was dominating. Those numbers need to be reversed for Garland to be pitching well.
