  1. Now I think that the Flubs are actually having fun tormenting their stupid fans.
  2. If Matt Thornton can pitch well after two awful seasons, Brad Lidge can pitch well again after three dominant seasons.
  3. Indeed. I thought that the Borchard for Thornton trade would be a bad one just because I expected Thornton to suck. But Thornton is now a lot more important to our team (and bullpen) than Borchard would have been on our bench.
  4. I would splooge all over myself if KW managed to swing a deal for Lidge. Ross.Effing.Gload (i.e. Mr. Waste Of A Roster Spot). He of 16 games played and 22 at bats. Mackowiak can play 1B if needed.
  5. Garland gave up a leadoff double on his first pitch in that inning. He left an inherited runner in scoring position. That's baseball.
  6. We don't need more offense. We need more bullpen help.
  7. They can have Garland but I don't think they'd want his overpriced arse.
  8. The Flubs did set their franchise record allowing 8 homers. It was also a Braves' franchise record for most homers hit in a game...
  9. Ummm... in that case it would be the team's offense's fault for losing the games, not the pitcher's. Wins are a team stat, ERA is more of an individual stat.
  10. Stopper my arse -- he gave up 5 earned runs in 6 innings. Name another starting pitcher who would have a 4-2 record with a 6.25 ERA. Garland is having a 2004 Shawn Estes season this year.
  11. LOL, c'mon dude. The offense won the game for Garland. Garland's ERA is 6.25 now.
  12. I like seeing no one on base for this Rios bastard.
  13. Losing 9-0 isn't about getting breaks or not getting breaks. Losing 9-0 is called "getting hammered."
  14. He already has much better numbers than the Flubs' big pickup of Pierre.
  15. Rob Mackowiak 93 AB .280 AVG .782 OPS 2 HR 9 RBI
  16. "ROOBIE-ROW-RIBBIE-DOW-SPIT-SPIT-BLAAAH!!!"
  17. And the point is that it was a stupid decision.
  18. Heh, I called it before the fact. I knew he would leave Garland in too long. It was so predictable.
  19. This is what I meant. His control will still be very shaky at times. But he's still one of our best relievers.
  20. Are you honestly going to tell me that Ozzie didn't gift-wrap the Jays a run by leaving Garland out there for one more inning at 97 pitches? Mackowiak is winning himself a job.
