This was a separate conversation and you're talking about 4 years. (Plenty of time to change your mind.) My original posts were 9 days apart.

But it apparently hasn't destroyed it. It seems to have worked in Haiti.

But this time we've got him so it's an entirely different scenario.
  4. You're probably right. That's Easter vigil and you're not exactly supposed to be celebrating during this time. BTW, I thought you quit the Catholic church?

What memoirs are these? The only book he's written was the "Letters" book and if that's what you're referring to, we must have read different editions. I read that he wanted to go into Iraq and get rid of Sadaam, but everyone around him, along with the UN just wanted the US to get them out of Kuwait. So, he relented and regrets it still.
  6. No. Both parties will be.
  7. Good point! And it gives your family members two reasons to come into town.
  8. Yes, I said that earlier:
  9. No apology neccessary. Planning a wedding is one of the biggest pain in the asses there is. Especially when you get all these curveballs thrown at you. Big or small, smooth or caotic. Trust me, it won't matter in the end, and the only thing your friends and family will remember is if it was an open bar or cash.
  10. Mexico City is the most populated city on Earth. A little different than here, but I understand your point. No, I'm not in favor of shutting off parts of the city to private vehicles if you mean a large part, because parts are already cut off to traffic.

Blah blah blah. Just shuddup, ya jerk!
  12. Duty to encourage - by incentives for producers as well as consumers. But a duty to legislate - absolutely not. For instance, it would be beneficial to us for everyone to take public transportation, but I don't think they should "force" us to take it. But to encourage by letting me buy my train ticket before taxes is fine.
  13. Electricity is created in a coal or oil burning facility near me. That absolutely DOES polute, and is not infinite.
  14. That's not that far from the truth given this teams woes on the defensive side of the ball in the past few years.
  15. I think that's a little crazy. 95%. And when do we get to decide who needs what and what they don't need? What's next? "Well...we feel you don't need a house that large and it's hurting the enviornment and wasting oil heating it so we're confiscating it from you." I mean you can go on and on. 95% of the people don't NEED to be driving to the mall. 95% of the people don't NEED to watch TV and are wasting electricity. 100% of the people that water ski and boat don't NEED to do it. 95% of the people... Yes, I do care about the enviornment. I recycle. I soak up dangerous UV rays by not wearing my shirt in the summer. I care about future generations as well. I encourage alternative methods of fuel. Nuclear power is much cleaner than coal or oil. Ethanol is definitely something we should encourage. I understand that oil is not going to be there forever. PS If some of this came across as hostile, it wasn't meant that way.
  16. Each state decides individually when to hold their primary. The states that wait untill later are rewarded by the party with more delagates at the Convention. The state party has to weigh the cost / benefit. Be important during the primary season vs. being more important at the National Convention.
  17. Yeah, what's wrong with you? Moron! Wanna fight?
  18. That's a better idea. Ethanol - I grow it. I use it. http://www.ethanol.org/
  19. I'm sure old cars would be grandfathered in. They can't make you modify your old car, unless they're going to pair for the repairs and the loss, which could get WAY out of hand when you consider the value that would be lost by changing a classic or muscle car.
  20. 1. No. Absolutely not. I should have the freedom to drive the car I want. No, not to polute. My car passes emissions tests and gets decent MPG, but where will they set the limit? Will it end there? Probably not. 2. No. DC was set up to NOT be a state. Keep it that way. 3. I disagree with mimimum wage all together. We live in a free society and you are free to work for someone that pays you $1 per hour or quit. In the end he won't have anyone working for him, his customer service will be pathetic and he'll go out of business. That's Capitalism.
  21. And a better product. Must...resist...North...Siiiiiidddddeeeee....
