  1. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ May 23, 2010 -> 09:08 PM) I think I heard Tallon was hired somewhere else recently, dont feel bad for him. Its the business and he has landed on his feet. Plus he will still be able to know he put this team together. Tallon was just hired by the Panthers as their GM. As far as the Hawks, I'm absolutely ecstatic that we're in the Cup finals. This team is so ridiculously likable. When Buff scored that go-ahead goal, it was right up there with Konerko's grand slam when it comes to great sports moments in my lifetime. And Duncan Keith FTMFW.
  2. QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 22, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) f***ing goosebumps. Wow.

This is from the day I got it done, leap day 2008. Been wanting to get another one for a while but I'm holding out. I also have a tramp stamp I'd rather not share.
  4. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:26 PM) Hossa has been terrible this series (really this whole playoffs minus a GW and another goal) hit the pipe on an empty netter. You couldn't be more wrong really. Sure, he isn't lighting it up with goals, but he's played very well.
  5. Hawks playing dumb with the empty net. Hossa hits the side, then Sharp caught offside on an empty-net 2-on-1. Come on.
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:03 PM) If there is one guy the Hawks HAVE to re-sign in the off-season it's Hammer. Damn shower, I missed the goal. I'm not entirely sure what our free agent situation looks like, but Hammer and Niemi absolutely need to be retained.
  7. We've got to be better at winning pucks along the boards, especially in the corners.
  8. It was actually Toews who gets credit for the goal. Even more playoff points for Tazer.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) What a posession by the Hawks there to make it 2-0 Insane action! I can't believe the ref's didnt freeze the puck on Hossa's wrister.
  10. 1-0 Hawks after 1. Intense action on both ends. Sharks playing really well, but Niemi played better.
  11. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 18, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) Thornton pulled someone down with his stick, of course the refs miss it. He slashed Bolland first, then literally pulled him off his skates by yanking at his stick. At it was with no one around either of them.
  12. LADD WITH THE SNIPE! 1-0 Hawks! Versteeg absolutely made that possible. After getting taken out, he springs up like a cat and prevents a 2 on none.
  13. Oh my goodness. That Sharks 1st line is wreaking havoc right now but Niemi is absolutely going nuts.
  14. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 18, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) Is the game only on VS again?? Yes. Both teams with some great opportunities early. Nabokov and Niemi making some huge saves. Eager/Madden/Burish getting WAY too much playing time early.
  15. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 18, 2010 -> 07:47 PM) Do you think the 76'ers trade Iggy, or place small next year? They'd probably put up a decent amount of points with: Holliday Turner Iggy Brand Dalembert I agree. I like that lineup a lot for them. Very well balanced. Iggy is a touch small for a 3, but he plays like one.
  16. FWIW, I still think Turner will be the best player in this draft. And I think Favors has higher potential than Wall.
  17. 1 Wizards 2 76ers 3 Nets 4 Timberwolves 5 Kings
  18. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ May 18, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) I doubt LeBron is already house shopping. He's going to be working out in Chicago with Eddy Curry, but he did so last year as well(without Eddy). In fact, he spent most of his summer in Chicago. I still doubt LeBron comes. I'm pretty sure he's using us for leverage, Eddie Jones style. Leverage for what?
  19. I gotta agree with Steve on this one. I'm buying Niemi as our goalie of the future. Obviously it helps that he has one of the best defenses in front of him, but he also just stopped 44 of 45 shots against the #1 team in the West. He's showing a lot of promise. And I am absolutely 100% against trading for Carey Price.
  20. Quick question: where do people stand with Niemi as far as the future of this team? Is he the guy for the future or do we still look to get a veteran goalie this offseason?
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 17, 2010 -> 11:29 PM) I almost feel sorry for Cavs fans at this point. I won't feel sorry for them until Lebron signs on the dotted line with a different team.
