  1. Here's the latest on the Hawks, via numerous sources: Seven players are absolutely untouchable: Toews, Kane, Hossa, Bolland, Keith, Searbrook, and Sharp. Bowman has alerted teams that the price for Byfuglien is a 1st round pick and a prospect. Vertseeg is apparently the guy that most teams want (yes please). Ladd is openly being shopped with, ironically, Vancouver being very interested.

    Summer Drinks

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) I've been drinking a lot of "Eclipse's" (I'm sure Jim has 7 different names for this drink). It's just Blue Moon and Guiness combined. I find it allows me to not get tired of the fruity Blue Moon as quickly since I have some Guiness in there to balance it out. Definitely going to have to try that out. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 01:44 PM) If you are a Captain Morgan person, give Sailor Jerry a spin in your next rum and Coke or Cuba Libre if you haven't yet. It really is a much tastier spiced rum than any of the Morgan stuff. Two other very good spiced rums (a rum style that is awful for the most part) are Kraken and Old New Orleans. Kraken is easy to find and it has about the coolest label ever, while ONO is almost impossible to come by outside of New Orleans. Sailor Jerry's is spectacular. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) I love Blue Moon, can't get enough of that stuff. Doesn't get much better than a Blue Moon with an orange slice.
  3. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) Florida traded Horton and Gregory Campbell for Dennis Wideman, the 15th overall pick and another pick. Not really a big fan of the move for Tallon as I liked Horton. Panthers do now have the 3rd, 15th, 33rd, 36th, 50th picks though. Tallon drafts well. The more picks for them the better. And apparently Horton asked Tallon for a trade.

    Summer Drinks

Oberon or Blue Moon for beer. Jack Daniels/Hennessey/Courvousier + Coca Cola is great year round.
  5. I'm still kind of on the fence. If they win the next 3 series vs ATL, CHC, and KC, I'm in.
  6. QUOTE (The Beast @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) When I say Law, I really mean being a Paralegal even though I'd have a BA in Business Management/Administration. I'm not sure what healthcare job I could possibly get other than becoming an EMT or something that doesn't require an ungodly amount of science courses. My sister got the same degree and is now a paralegal. She loves it.
  7. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) Human trafficking Even better.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:00 PM) San Diego and then for the anniversary, New York City. We were going to go to Key West but I'm not a fan of tar balls. Key West is kinda overrated. Wasn't a big fan, but I was only there for a day. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:52 PM) Chicago (white sox game), NW Indiana, Sandusky OH, and Cleveland OH. NW Indiana? Where, and mainly...why? QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) Taking the family to Alaska for two weeks. The most beautiful place in the world that I have been to. The Kenai Peninsula is spectacular.
  9. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 03:49 PM) Higuaín and Messi are a deadly duo, I don't think any other country has a better pair of strikers. I thought Spain was the deepest team, but they've been mediocre so far. They looked fantastic today against Honduras. But they're going to be disappointed if Torres doesn't find that finishing touch. They had about 6 or 7 great scoring opportunities, and they missed a PK on top of it. Their defense was dominant and the midfield made a ton of great passes. And Fabregas didn't even play a half-hour.
  10. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) No thank you. Paying $14 mil a year (or more) for a guy that would probably average 14-9 outside of D'Antoni's offensive system doesn't sound appealing at all. It'd be a horrible scenario. It'd be the same as DET spending big money on Gordon and Villanueva just to spend it. Keep it and wait for a deadline deal or next summer.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 05:34 PM) Is Fielder so fat that he's 2 people? Haha. Perhaps. One swing of the bat from him is the equivalent of 3 trips around planet Earth. I've heard his swing has its own gravitational pull...complete with 8 moons.
  12. Put that in your f***ing report, you little f***ing pipsqueek! Let's go have a beer, Doc.
  13. Hanley, Lincicum, Pujols, Strasburg, Heyward, Fielder, Ubaldo, Fielder, Ichiro are probably the most exciting for me. Last year Gordon Beckham obviously. When he's on, Gavin Floyd is just a delight to watch. I love watching Halladay pitch as well. As far as all time, Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson and Barry Bonds are top 3 for me, no doubt.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 11:52 AM) And at times he's been a well above average defender. Last year was not one of those times though. I think Bosh would be a great get if LBJ stays. If LBJ goes anywhere but Chicago or Cleveland, I'd be pissed. But if LBJ stays, I want Bosh over anyone else. I agree with all of this 100%.
  15. Myrtle Beach for a week in August.
  16. I've always had great experiences with any variations of Casey, Kaci, etc. I also happen to like Bernadettes.
  17. Just picked up Metal Gear Solid 4, looking forward to playing it tomorrow.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) GAS! Great 5th inning....I hope people go out and watch them on Tuesday. I'll be there!
  19. This is quite exciting. Viciedo, Hudson, Flowers, and now Sale all on the cusp of the Majors.
  20. Sorry if it's been asked already, but how did he look today at the plate and in the field? I see he hit into a RBI DP and also started one defensively.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 02:41 PM) Slovenia is one of the biggest minnows of the entire tournament. I don't think they have much a shot at getting a result at all, but who knows with how England is playing now. Either way it shouldn't matter. US just has to play like their capable of playing. They're like 25th in the world. Not even close to minnows. They've got quality players.
  22. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 10:16 AM) It very well could have cost them a goal considering they were in great position to score and he stopped it in the middle of play. And if it isn't intentional and you don't move your hand to the ball it doesn't even matter if it hits his hand, it isn't a foul. The shot was on net either way, and it was cleared out by the Slovenian defender.
  23. I wouldn't qualify it as one of the stupidest decisions ever. I think people are overreacting. Yes, it hit his hand, but no, it was not intentional. It didn't cost them a goal. Yes, Findley is now out of the next match, but people wanted Buddle to start over him anyway. Worst call ever? Ashamed? Hardly.
