  1. Wait until we start playing the Red Sox, Twins, Tigers, Indians, and Yankees. We'll really see how much worse this team is then.
  2. QUOTE(Allsox @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:27 PM) The one positive was Contreras and Vazquez upping their trade value in this series. If those two get traded, MArk Buehrle stays here Iguchi on fire as well.
  3. This is the worst White Sox team I have seen in my lifetime.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) Pawtucket plays at Louisville tonight at 5:15. Should be interesting to see if anyone is held out of the starting lineup or pulled during the game. Eastern Time I assume? Thats in 9 minutes.
  5. I don't know if I have ever been excited for a loss. And the walk to AJ makes PK's at bat that much better.
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:05 PM) Maybe the sooner this game is over, the sooner they can announce some moves. God I hope so.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 04:03 PM) Because he actually has a good swing and can spray the ball to all fields. His swing doesn't matter is Walker is still here.
  8. So, Pagan himself ran into 2 outs, Pie ran into an out, then Hill flies out, and then Izturis grounds out. If my math is correct, that's 5 outs.
  9. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) kinda funny how the Cubs ran themselves into 3 outs in the 8th. Pagan did it twice himself.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:54 PM) Yeah, but it's not that hard to send a message to Cora if he wanted to. Similar to the messages he send KW?
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:52 PM) Soriano's about to outscore us this series. Please throw at him, I don't care if he doesn't deserve it. If we throw at him and break his wrist, I won't say one bad thing about Ozzie ever again. Ejected. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:53 PM) Then it was done right...I flipped to GN to see what they were saying But he did not keep it extended until the end of the play.
  12. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:51 PM) Pie wasn't even going home so the runner that Uribe ran into would've been stuck anyways. Let's use some common sense here. And according to Heads' post, he advances at his own risk, which Pagan did, and since Pie was standing on 3rd, he could not have advanced, therefore, he is tagged out and should be out. Then, Pie ran home for no reason and is tagged out as well.
  13. This team has never made me want to cry like this before. My god, we can't catch a f***ing break, we can't hit, our bullpen blows, and our GM is clueless.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:47 PM) 7.06 When obstruction occurs, the umpire shall call or signal "Obstruction." If a play is being made on the obstructed runner, or if the batterrunner is obstructed before he touches first base, the ball is dead and all runners shall advance, without liability to be put out, to the bases they would have reached, in the umpire’s judgment, if there had been no obstruction. The obstructed runner shall be awarded at least one base beyond the base he had last legally touched before the obstruction. Any preceding runners, forced to advance by the award of bases as the penalty for obstruction, shall advance without liability to be put out. Rule 7.06(a) Comment: When a play is being made on an obstructed runner, the umpire shall signal obstruction in the same manner that he calls “Time,” with both hands overhead. The ball is immediately dead when this signal is given; however, should a thrown ball be in flight before the obstruction is called by the umpire, the runners are to be awarded such bases on wild throws as they would have been awarded had not obstruction occurred. On a play where a runner was trapped between second and third and obstructed by the third baseman going into third base while the throw is in flight from the shortstop, if such throw goes into the dugout the obstructed runner is to be awarded home base. Any other runners on base in this situation would also be awarded two bases from the base they last legally touched before obstruction was called. (B) If no play is being made on the obstructed runner, the play shall proceed until no further action is possible. The umpire shall then call “Time” and impose such penalties, if any, as in his judgment will nullify the act of obstruction. Rule 7.06(B) Comment: Under 7.06(B) when the ball is not dead on obstruction and an obstructed runner advances beyond the base which, in the umpire’s judgment, he would have been awarded because of being obstructed, he does so at his own peril and may be tagged out. This is a judgment call. NOTE: The catcher, without the ball in his possession, has no right to block the pathway of the runner attempting to score. The base line belongs to the runner and the catcher should be there only when he is fielding a ball or when he already has the ball in his hand. Thats what Pagan did. So he should be out. Pie as well.
  15. So if there was obstruction, why did he call Pagan out at 2nd and Pie out at home?
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:41 PM) Uribe never got in the way. I don't know where that was called. It's bulls***. Exactly, Uribe never hit anyone. And you can't get called for interference in a run down. That's the point.
  17. "STAY ON 2ND BASE! YOU'LL BE SAFE! THEY'LL FIND A WAY TO GET YA THERE!"
  18. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) Uribe can f*** up anything. He better not be on this team next year. He cant hit, he cant field at a high level anymore, and now he is running into people. He never ran into anyone.
  19. "It's a triple pla....no. No, Joe West is not going to call it. What is this now!?!?"
  20. Uribe never touched any runner, FWIW. He got out of the way of Derosa going back into 2nd. Pagan is out at 2nd, Pie is out at home.
  21. Let me see if I can get this now: 9-3-6-3-2-5 DP. Yup, thats it.
  22. WHAT IN THE FLYING f*** JUST HAPPENED? A 9-3-5-3-6-2-5 DP!
