QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Hot dogs at the cell shouldn't be considered hot dogs. They should be considered god's food.

i fugured out level 5 finally. got the sing title and 2 words, spilt em. NOw level 6 has something to do with source codes and the ALT key.

Perez is such a talent that no one knows about because of where he plays. At 100% and in a town lik Chicago that would embrace him AND with a pitching coach like Coop ANDa veteran like El Duque to help guide him, he would become a star.
-
I think Kennedy > Day > Lilly

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) IIRC, you unearthed some other Sox/SF rumors, so I'm going to take your word on this one. We could be getting close, like it or not, folks. Well, they were saying ealrier in the week that a trade might be close. But wit hall these different rumors, it might just be a smokescreen. But, for some strange reason, if the 3-way was to go thru, I just get the feeling that KW would keep Day. I dont't know why.
-
Perez has nasty stuff. McClendon and Pittsburgh have done s*** for him. I think a change of scenerey where he is really wanted and supported would helo him a lot and propel him to the next level.
-
El Duque will probably be the one to stay from the Cuban duo because of Dookies playoff experience and success.
-
He says his fastball is used in location depending on situation. He says he listens to AJ and thinks where the hitters aren't expecting it. He also says a key to him is getting ahead of hitters. He doesn't think his control is an issue.
-
He said that he actually does throw a change-up but didn;t thrown it because he hasn't had to use it. Fastball-Curveball is all he needs. He says he can throw all 4 pitches for strikes and that he really is never gonna shake off AJ lol. Fastball, curveballl, slider, change-up. ALL NASTY. He thinks AJ is a great catcher who knows what he is doing with his pitchers.

Jenks says struggling makes him want to improve more and more. He says his emotional maturity has grown a lot since his troubled days of the past. He says he learned from his mastakes in the past.
-
He says he loves Chicago fans was excited at his welcome. He says he is happy to bring something to the Sox bullpen. He says he tunes everything out when he pitches, only him and the batter. He calms himself down and breathes heavily. He says the Angels wanted to turn him into the Gagne starter-to-closer type guy. He says he likes closing more than starting.
-
Jenks says he is gonna get some more swagger to him as the season goes on.

QUOTE(beck72 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) The biggest numbers that jump out at me this year is Omar's splits vs RHP, a big weak area for the sox: .329/.390/.410 Aaron is s***ty vs righties right? PK is good against them? Every player has his preferences. I think all this team really could use is an inning eater at the end of the rotation.

QUOTE(beck72 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) I've put it elsewhere, but here goes. career numbers: Vizquel vs Bos: .237/.270/.316 LAA: .343/.416/.455 Minn: .347/.387/.459 Uribe vs Bos: .205/..250/.341 LAA: .191/.186/.244 Minn: .257/.296/.419 It doesn't make sence. Rangercal offers stats showing he pwns some pitcher but does that mean he blows vs the rest???

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) I have been eating a lot of hot dogs lately just because I get hungry at work sometimes, and eating a hot dog is a lot better than a burger or a blizzard. The chili cheese dogs are irresistable too. Uuuuuh. They give me heartburn but they are sooooo good. Hot dog, chili, nacho cheese. OH BABY!

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) I got to level 2 and decided im a dumbass because I dont get it. Way to have faith in yourself.

Jenks will be on soon.

QUOTE(beck72 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) I've got stats also that show Vizquel hits better vs likely playoff opponents, like Minn, Boston and LAA. Would ya mind showing the to us maybe????

Timo's non-chalant catched piss me off. Willies inability to even make contact also pisses me off. Walker's ability to blow ass pisses me off too. Send them all down to Charlotte and bring up Baj, Gload, and Anderson.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) Tuesday ASG. My bad. I knew that. :banghead -
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) Exactly Cheat... or maybe its just that everyone is spoiled by the likes of Buehrle, Garland, Garcia. Maybe that is true. Maybe we ARE spoiled by having 3 phenominal starters. Is this the coming of the next Big 3 for years to come? With a combing like 32 wins and a low ERA, this staff is set right? No. Contreras and whoever the 5th starter are have not been getting it done. Contrerads pitched well in his last start but he is ery inconsistent and we need an innings eater at the end of the rotation to be able to save the bullpen.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) Beck, You can't be serious? You don't try to pull that play on Derek Lee earlier this year if you don't have passion. Did you see that pick off play the other day against TB? Uribe cares. He has passion. He didn't gain as much weight that people tend to believe. I seen him at soxfest, he looked a little heavier, but thats what camp is for, to get back in shape. Frank has never come in overweight? Uribe is the only player to come in overweght? Uribe is hitting the following against these possible playoff pitchers : Johan santana .267 Randy Johnson .273 kenny Rogers .300 Mike Mussina .429 Curt Schilling .238 Matt Clement .333 These pitchers pretty much hold the opposition to under a .250 BA. He's Not exactly an easy out. Maybe it's just me. Johan santana .235 Randy Johnson .263 Curt Schilling .111 Kenny Rogers .271 Mike Mussina .260 no at bats vs clement What about A.J.? who is batting .247 What about Gooch who Batted .244 In June and .250 In july so far. Uribe is hitting .333 in July so far. Like I said he is up and down. Dye is just as streaky as uribe. No one is calling for Dye's head because he is hot right now. Dye hit .175 in april and can very well do it again in October. Last year Uribe hit .289 in August and .353 in September. Uribe will be a strong finisher. Vizquel is hitting .219 the last 3 years in september. Guess what? he is another year older. Uribe doesn't bunt? move runners over? hit sacrafice flys? Why uribe out and not crede? I bet most people would rather have uribe at bat in a game tying/winning situation over crede. I dont know how much passion and energy he can possibly have for a team he didn't even want to sign with a 1/2 year ago. Wow. He PWNED you with logic and stats.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Not that I care too much, but if Buehrle wins this game, he may be looking at the startind nod in Detroit. Let's just get the win; I don't care how. Saturday start, Monday ASG??? Doubt it. With Halladay hurt and MB starting today, it is gonna be Garland.
