QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 1, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) You won't be happy then As the chart very well shows, Dye appears to be one of the streakiest players in the league. Well yeah but his average is consistent.

Paulie lines to Nook Logan in CF, inning over, 0-0 to the 2nd...

Carl chops it to Martinez and he bobbles it, E-6 up the middle. 1 on, 2 out for PK.

Gooch bounces it to 3rd, Ledezma makes a nice play, 2 dead.

Ledezma takes the mound for Detroit. Pods up and he grounds to Ramon Martinez, nice pick by Pena. 1 dead.

Pudge Rodriguez shoots one to Crede and he dives and throws Pudge out....3 up, 3 down. To the Sox....

Iguchi gobbles it up and throws out Inge, 2 dead.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 1, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) Ozzie just said on the manager's show with John Rooney that Willie Harris is out today due to a personal problem and may miss a few days. Is Willie PMS'ing again?

I was wondering if anyone could make me a new sig. I want something cool looking lol. I want a sig with Uribe and Iguchi and I want it to say "Solid Up The Middle" or "The Black Hole....Up the Middle" on top in the middle. If possible, a background of the Cell's field would be cool. Pics:

April 2005 - White Sox, 1st Place 17-7 April 2004 - White Sox, 2nd Place 14-8 --------------------------------------------- Only a 2 game difference standings wise. But overall, this 2005 team is much deeper and rotation is far more consistent....SO FAR. I stress so far because it is still so early. I'm liking what I see from this team. The offense has been slumping lately but yesterday's game went back to the real 2005 Sox. Timely hitting, good base-running....."smartball." The last 2 games in Oakland and the 1st game vs Detroit was the 2004 "Corpseball." This has been a very excellent April for OUR Chicago White Sox. Jon has been the real key point this season. 4-0 with 1.80 ERA is great and in 45 minutes or so, he'll be looking to make it 5-0. This rotation is leaving me flabberghasted. Only 2 starters on the Sox had over 25 starts last season (with the Sox) and those 2 were MB and Jon....look for them to guide the Sox to the playoffs this season. All is well on the South Side.....let's keep it going and continue a new streak today!

Well, we won 2 in a row vs Hyde Park and Curie then we lost to Morgan Park again yesterday. Our record is 3-8. Well, I didn't go to school Friday so I couldn't start Saturday. Our pitcher suckd it up in the 1st and 3rd innings giving up 4 and 5 runs respectively. Coach decideds to put me in to pitch in the 4th, down 9-6. I pitch 4 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 un-earned, walking 2 guys and striking out 6. Our offense blew because for some dumbass reason he had EVERYBODY on the team bunting all game! We ended up losing 11-9. Our last regular season game is Tuesday vs Hubbard, our only night game. We beat the, 17-2 last time and hopefully I got the ball. PLAY BALL! -
QUOTE(T R U @ May 1, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) He prolly had more fun than I did at my prom... The highlight of my prom night was beating my friend 4 - 0 in MVP Baseball and throwing a 2 hit shutout with Greg Maddux.. best game I ever played, but my prom was horrible.. AHAHHAHAHAAHAH!

QUOTE(TLAK @ May 1, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) Dye has always been streaky. This chart shows his BA last year with Oakland, the dark blue is his cummulative season, the purple is week by week starting on Sundays. He's like the little girl with curl, when he's good he's very good and when he's bad he's terrible. This was talked about when they signed him, I think it was SS2K5? Dye may indeed end up with very good numbers but he is not the day in day out offensive force that Mags was. You can pound on him for missing the cut off man, and dropping that ball in Oakland, but you get what you get with him at the plate. The way to get him out of his slump is to get him over the flu and play him everyday. These are the kinds of posts that I like. Thanks for the chart, as long a he is consistent, I'll be happy....as long as he is NOT consistently BAD.

QUOTE(1549 @ May 1, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) Just an observation my serbian friend. Now I hope the Sox give you one more reason to celebrate today! My brother's gf is serbian orthodox, and she said drinking is a tradition in the serbian church on holidays and such...so Not necessarily IN the church but on holidays, yes. For example, on our "slava" which celebrates the birth of the saint which represents your family, it is traditional to drink red wine and toast to another family member....I "legally" get to drink under-age!
