  1. Did anyone see the clip from yesterdays game in which Lew Ford bunted one right to his grill! Funniest baseball play ever! He tried puch-bunting it and as he started running, he bunted the ball right in his face off the bat! Hilarious!
  2. ROAD TRIP: Ten area baseball players traveled to Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic in August as part of Team USA's Athletes in Action. Team USA played five games during the trip, and in the gold-medal game, the Netherlands beat Team USA 13-8. Robert Nettles, the assistant baseball coach at Brooks, coached the team. The local players were: David Atwood, Oswego; Matt Balducci, Kaylan Middleton, William Smith and Marcus Luster, Brooks; Tyler Rubio, Ryan Schwartz and Ryan Wille, Palatine; Albert McCormick, Hyde Park; and Justin Ramos, Holy Cross. I got to Brooks college prep and I am close friends of Matt, Kaylan, Will, and Marcus. All 3 are great players and all have futures in baseball. Matt is an OF/P, Kaylan is an LF/RF/1B, Will is a Catcher, and Marcus plays OF and pitches. All 3 are seniors and I have had the "honor" of knowing and playing with them. I also know Coach Nettles, our assistant coach and THE best hitting coach I know. His son Marcus plays for the Harrisburg Senators, AA team of the Nationals. I'm not saying they should be picked 15th but they deserve a shot and all 3 could be taken in later rounds. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_...09/ai_n12558130 Here's his line against Payton earlier this year....no hitter: Brooks 3, Payton 2 Brooks (7-3): WP Marcus Luster (3-1) CG, 0 H, 16 K

  4. Everyone shall suffer under their own circumstances.
  5. Doesn't it seem like every home game vs Detroit is threatened by rain?
  6. All those clips have me goosebumps like a mutha!!!!!!!!!
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) Wait a minute, Aaron Rowand chews, is he f***ing stupid. There is no reason to chew if you're a major league ball player unless you really want cancer. That was my reaction as well. I had no clue.
  8. Kinda harsh....either she was ugly as hell or he/she was a transvestite?
  9. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) I barely watch Foxnews anymore mainly because I find Joe Scarborough much more attractive than Greta Van Sustren. During my time with Foxnews and listening to Hannity and Rush on the radio, it was just obvious that they were handed documents and agendum by the same person. That begin said, watching and listening for more than an hour became grossly repeatative. On to ESPN.... I've just felt over the course of a few months ESPN seems to have caught on to this form of broadcasting. Between Mike and Mike and Dan Patrick (Ever since Rob Dibble left the Dan Patrick Show its gone down hill) , Sportscenter and the sports talking heads (by the way steven a smith, the angry black man routine is WAY over done), I feel like I hear the same damn opinions on the same subjects no matter what time of day it is. The only exception, though he tends to do it from time to time, is Colin Cowherd. I get soooo sick of it, I just find myself turning the radio off all together. anyone else feel this way? I gotta disagree. I don't get a chance to listen to the DP show too often because I am at school but I isten to Mike and Mike EVERY morning before school. I like their opinions and besides, they're just opinions. Usually Greeny ends up disagreeing with Golic....funny stuff. I also like how they always have out-side opinions like Vitale, Gammons, Phillips, Smith, and others.
  10. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) I was just pointing out that you were being biased. That was a great game. Don't hate. I am biased? Your mentioning an horribly-ugly game including DePaul....and you have a DePaul avatar!
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) "Why is it called the foul pole? It's in fair territory" Close but no cigar: PK: "Dont you think it's wierd that the "foul" pole is in "fair" territory?" TH: "No, I think THATS wierd. (Pointing to dancing mascots)" FUNNY ASS COMMERCIAL!!!!!!!!!
  12. QUOTE(Nokona @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Please stop before i tear up. Greatest basketball game in the history of the NCAA except for the NC St Championship game vs Houston.

  15. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) I'm sitting here laughing in class and everyone is looking at me funny. Haha. I didn't go to school today. We had Wednesday and Thursday off, why go Friday?
  16. 90% chance of rain from 1:00 PM today to 7:00 AM tommorrow FOLLOWED by 70% chance of rain from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM tommorrow.

  18. I want to know what you think is the best sports call of all time. There have been so many great ones. My favorites that give me chills are" "Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!" "Do you beleive in miracles? YES!" "Havlicek steals it! Havlicek stole the ball! He stole the ball!" "Here's Michael at the foul-line The shot on Ehlo...GOOD! Bulls win! Bulls win!"
  19. That made the hair on my ass-hole stand-up. Awesome video.
  20. Your banned.....forever....go home to ISU. Bulls are in the playoffs, up 2-0, how can you say they suck? Bears are a sleeper this year and yes, the Blackhawks do suck.
  21. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) Raining on hot lesbians. What is the problem here? I would think absolutely none.
