  1. ...and is HSC really so not into crowds that she's not going?!? That's what her posts made it sound like...
  2. I assume we will maybe do a little pre-gaming at Jimbo's one of the days in leu of anyone tailgating. I know you ar a UD guy though, so I can actually come say hi during the events if your ASG seats are also 500 Level?
  3. Yep, cw, I'm flying the family in Friday and I will be at the ASG festivities -- looking forward to it even up in Sec 556!
  4. OK, the validation checker on the mlb vote applet is definitely broke now. And the poster who noted that the previous code is part of the return URL is observant. Right now you do need a number in the code field, but it can be anything and it still seems to register a vote. I would like to bypass manual entry of the code, but it would be nice to know these votes are counting. What do the code warriors here think?
  5. I know it was almost two years ago, but it was the biggest comeback in 76 years and your memories shouldn't be that vague. It was the Indians, not the Mariners, who fought back, after the Seattle built a 12-0 lead and Cleveland ended up winning 15-14 in 11 innings. Not that it did them much good in the post-season ahainst Seattle that year...
  6. Have four of Reed's five K's been us going down looking?!? Why are we frozen at the plate against him - isn't he supposed to be hurt?
  7. The general concensus of the angry villagers was that Colon would be ticked off about being pulled only to see Marte implode, and he'd really let the coaches have it in the post-game interview. If he's mad, then he pparently he is also good at anger management. From the iterview... Afterward, Colon did not complain about being removed from the game. "There is still a lot of time in the season to win games," he said. "I wasn't upset at all. That's the manager's decision and I stand by it."
  8. The plan is to skip Wright and pitch Markagainst the Twins. Thia from Cowley in the Southtown... Rotation juggling Manuel has decided not to use Dan Wright in the Minnesota series. Because the Sox have an off day today, Manuel is able to move Jon Garland and Mark Buehrle up a day. Garland will pitch Wednesday in Wright's spot, and Buehrle will go Thursday against the Twins. Wright (0-3, 5.57 ERA) will pitch Friday against the Cubs at U.S. Cellular Field. "We've got six games with the Twins (over the next nine games), and we've got to find some way to derail them," Manuel said. The switch did not please Buehrle. "If I had the choice I'd rather pitch against the Cubs at home, just because I can't stand pitching in Minnesota," Buehrle said. "I really don't like pitching there. The turf is tough and then you look at their lineup and the way they pound it into the ground and take off running."
  9. Something stupid like the facts usually don't do much to calm a mob of angry villagers anyway. The bad economy and monkeypox are probably also Manuel's fault based on the reactions of some folks around here.
  10. Colon's hand or finger has been hurt for the last 2 games, although I'm not sure it had anything to do with the decision to pull him.
  11. It's Willie's birthday today -- maybe he'll have a great game as a present to himself.
  12. Turn down the volume and put Rooney and Farmer on to save your sanity.
  13. OK Kids, time for me to try and get some work done. Same Bat Time, same Bat Channel tomorrow... Let's sweep these Bozos. Go Sox!!!
  14. I keep wanting Josh to break out. He's the nephew of my Dad's best friend and business partner, and he lives and dies with every call-up and demotion.
  15. A squeaker, but a win all the same!!!
  16. 1 or 2 more runs will put me at ease...
  17. It's painful to see a 7-0 lead squandered like this... We haven't scored since the 4th.
  18. I feel your pain... I don't even bother turning on FOX national broadcast on Saturday when the Yankees are playing.
  19. Crede finally makes an out -- he's doing alright though today, huh?
  20. I still believe Mark's an ace. He's young and learning to adjust as the league adjusts to him. When Maddux isn't pinpoint on he gets hit too. I don't want to lose him and I'm sure not ready to give up on him.
  21. Who's got this on TV? does Mark look like he's losing steam?
  22. Ach, finally let these Bozos on the board... The Jims are Legion... Watch out world! Yep, east coast of Florida – I have a dolphin swimming in the canal outside my office windo as we speak.
