  1. I'll always remember meeting Rowand for the first time, he is a good ballplayer, but one hell of a person. This team was made of grinders, and he was the ultimate grinder. No matter who the sox have in CF next year, they will not be as good as Aaron Rowand. Aaron thanks for all the good times you have given me, and every single white sox fan. good luck in phili, hopefully you will win one of your much deserved gold gloves there this is for you arow thanks man
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) you can cross off crawford and ichiro from that list. i figured that, but more and more i am looking at winn, i like what i see offensivly what is he like in the field
  3. I am just trowing some names out there, i highly doubt we get any of them but here they are...dont come down to hard on me lol mark kotsay randy winn pierre how much would winn cost us?, and is he better then BA?
  4. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 06:43 PM) aaron and mark are/were my favorite sox. Once i got past arow being gone, this is a great trade for us. Agree 100%
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) I've never been big on Brian Anderson and I've always loved Row so the immediate shock of losing Row hurt and it sqewed the way I looked at the deal. In reality this team needed more pop in the lineup and we more than likely were not going to get that from Rowand, Thome more than fills that need if he's able to play a full season (which he should be able to seeing how he's only had one injury plagued year in his career). If Anderson fills in in CF next year we won't lose much defense and he won' thave to do a whole hell of a lot to match Row's '05 offensive numbers. This trade should help the team much more than it will hurt it. True, and isnt BA the same type of player as aaron...grinder type?
  6. well let me put it this way...if thome is healty i would like the trade, i just loved how he played the game...he was a grinder and a chicago guy...i think i am just mad about the trade cuz aaron wanted to stay here
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) I b****ed as much as anyone at the beginning of the main thread yet I voted yes in the poll. 2 hours makes quite a difference. kalapse, i am a huge aaron fan as well, but it is hard for me to come around on this trade. what has made u change your mind a little? i need to know so i can come around on this trade
  8. lol being underage i didnt know that i guess im not gona be going to watch it then
  9. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) There will be a viewing of this tonight at the Waterworks in Lyons. Probably a little after 7PM. is this open to the public
  10. I wish there was an other, because I like going to my families, having my world series championship hoddie on and just having a big smile on my face when we start to talk about baseball....yea, almost my entire family are cubs fans...i guess i was one of the lucky ones
  11. hey just my 2 cents: I would love to aquire Pierre, but not if it cost us Aaron. This team is based on defense and pitching, with timely hitting. Having said that, there is no way that Pierre is a better defender then Aaron, offensivly thats debatable who is better. As Hawk said a lot at SoxFest last year "Defense win championships, with pitching being the first line of defense." Basicly I want to have both Juan and Aaron, who would DH, well I dont no but this is probley what I would do Pierre Pods Iguchi Konerko Dye Aaron AJ Crede Uribe Once again, that is just my 2 cents
  12. Hey everyone, this is my first post here, but I have been browsing the boards for a while. I Emailed Brooks earlier today asking him a few questions, here is the following emails I sent: Hey Brooks, I just had a few quick questions for you: 1. Will the Sox wear a champions patch of any kind on there uniforms next year? If so, were can I buy this at? I want it for my Buehrle jersey. 2. When will the Sox get there rings? I would amagine on opening day, but I want to make sure. 3. Will the trouphy be brought to different cities for everyone to see? You should bring it around to different cities, exspecally Tinley Park. Thanks, Mike ----------------------------------------------------------------- Here is his responce: Mike, Don't know about the patch yet. Hopefully, we will be executing our ring ceremony at the second home game as opposed to Opening Day. We are attempting to plan a trophy tour. We will know more in the next few weeks. We hopefully will have something to announce this next week. Have a good Thanksgiving. Brooks ----------------------------------------------------- This is interesting because I would have thought that the ring ceramony would be opening day
