  1. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) Dude, you've got issues. Way to take things out of context.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) Yes I do think that one day Mark will be in the same situation as Thomas. He has already publically came out on multiple occassions and said he would like to play for the Saint Louis Cardinals. How many times has MB won 20 games? How many Cy Youngs does he have? Frank was a two-time MVP for us, I don't care what he says during this offseason, he is and always will be one of the greatest players in the history of the White Sox. Mark can never touch what Frank has done. How many World Championships was Mark invovled in? 1 How many did Thomas have anything to do with? 0 Its all about winning buddy, and Thomas never did that. Mark might go to the Cards sometime in his carrer, but he might not. I bet you if he does, he will not leave on the terms that Thomas did. He will handle it with class, that is a given
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) Beats the hell out of me. I just got my pocket scheduels from Grandstand yesturday, and Konerko is on the front of it. Last year it was Mark. You tell me??? where is frank at
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) It's ironic that you think it is such a great point and your name, avatar, and sig all have MB in them. There's a non-biased opinion right there. :rolly Do you really think that Buehrle would ever be in the same situation as thomas? The answer is NO. There is no debating Buehrle and thomas. This has nothing to do with the ace.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) That Frank isnt the best thing to happen to White Sox baseball. 2005 was, and Mark and Paul had a MUCH bigger part to do with it. great point right there
  6. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) Comparing the two is laughable, so I won't get into a phantom debate. There is nothing to debate on this. I agree 100%, bringing this up is pathedic
  7. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) I'd give him an ovation, but on a minor side note, do you think he might ploy some conspiracy type thing, get injured right before his trip to Chicago, like Sosa did? you never know what this guy will do. I wouldnt be surprised if he pulled something like that.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Now let's say Mark Buehrle is the player in this position instead of Frank Thomas. You would be slurping him harder than anyone is "slurping" Frank. :rolly Buehrle would NEVER act the way Frank is. Mark is a class act, and if he does ever leave this team, it will not be a bad terms. Mark has the most class of any pro athlete that I have ever met. He would never pull a Thomas. Thomas is just a little baby, that feels like this team owes him something, when the fact is the team owes him jack s***.
  9. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) fatass? 6 months ago he was god around here? Am I the only Frank Thomas fan left? One of the few left on here, what kind of ovation will he get when he returns
  10. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) Shut up Kenny. Please. Just STFU. Take the high road. What Frank said wasn't that bad. WOW
  11. I am so glad that I have tickets for his return to Chicago. I can not wait to boo the hell out of him. Yea he was the face of the Sox for many years, but this is not how Frank should handle this.... SCREW YOU FRANK!!!! I no I might get grilled by some people here, but I have tried to back Frank his whole carrer, and how he is acting now, just ruined everything for me about his time here.
  12. Did anyone get tickets for Sox games at Wrigley? I have a lot of games at comiskey agenst a lot of different teams that I am willing to trade for the sox/ cubs at wrigley. PM me if interested.
  13. how did everyone do with tickets today? I got a total of 33 games, 13 games that I already had from the ozzie plan, and 17 that me and my friend bought today. the other 3 are the games when they play the reds in cinci.
  14. What I do is I buy the jersey then take it to Sports Huddle in Lockport. The owners name is Mike, and he does an awesome job, and is very inexpensive. The only thing is, he makes jerseys for traveling sports teams, which is always his first priority, meaning he takes a little longer then it should to finish the jersey. But for authentic lettering and patches for $30, I soppose it is worth the wait. FYI it takes about 2 months for him to get the jersey back to you.
  15. I emailed Brooks about a week ago and this is what he said Mike, Good to hear from you and I hope all is well, Game three we will do something with the Trophy and hopefully, have a mini trophy giveaway. Banners day one. Rings day two. As for Buehrle, it is my understand that he will not be at SoxFest because it is the tail end of his honeymoon. Do not hold me to this as I have not been involved in the scheduling of players. See you at the Fest, Brooks i hope this helps
  16. now since i have not done this before, im sure it isnt rocket science, but when can we make trades, and how does that work? can someone jsut go over the entire process of this, cliff notes style?
  17. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) Believe what you want. The guy has had elbow problems and heel problems NOT related to his collision with Choi and the linedrive to his elbow. Just because one doctor is quoted, doesnt mean that other doctors dont agree with his assessment. Prior never had a collision with Choi, that was Wood. Prior ran into Marcus Giles when running the bases. http://espn.go.com/mlb/news/2003/0607/1564700.html http://gwinnettcommerce.com/newsarticles/a...D77EDAB0B55.asp One more thing, Prior's machanics are fine, there isnt anything wrong with them, like someone before me said, everyone raves about his machanics, they are nearly flawless.
  18. QUOTE(Reddy @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) note how he did the rest of the year... yeah abreu is good but not worth destroying our defense (abreu, anderson, pods? ick) Um... Abreu won a gold glove this past year, he has to be a good OF to win that award
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Thing is i know how to spell. He didn't know how to f***ing put a space after a , or comma. I did not mean to get him pissy. For someone that thinks they know what they are talking about, there is not a space before the comma, like you have in your post.
  20. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) According to what my rep told me a week or two ago: January 24th: Season ticket holders get first shot at single-game tix January 25th: Split season holders get their shot January 27th: Everyone else Also, my rep just emailed me today and told me that there will probably be some sort of online form for the 1/24 and 1/25 season ticket holder dates to use. On 1/27, they open up via the normal ticketmaster nightmare. does split season include 13 game plans?
  21. Awesome, I am glad he didnt go to the Indians because he is one of my favorite non white sox players and it would have been hard to root for him when he was on a division rival.
