Someone post the Rally Engel meme.

Abreu HR.
Now we're starting to see how fun it's going to be to watch this lineup go to work.

I wonder if the extension negotiations had been on Yoan's mind. He sounds like he is locked in now.
Probably.
Remember what Hahn said about that one Quintana start when they were negotiating his deal?

And I want to emphasize that everything Yoan "bunts" - if he does - it does not mean that Ricky called for it.
Well, they do shift on him so I get it if it's to get them to quit doing that.

Yo squares to bunt again, Engel steals 2nd easily.
If anyone not named Madrigal, Engel or Garcia gets a bunt sign from Ricky, they should just ignore it.

Moncada RBI single. 2-0.

That top 6 is so sexy, and doesn't even include power positions at RF & DH.
If I'd bet on any of the Sox OF prospects becoming an MLB regular, it would be Basabe. I think if he has a good season, he's the back up plan if Mazara continues being Mazara.

If he's out of options, he's likely to be claimed by DET/BAL/SEA/KC.

Turn on the broadcast, Cubs broadcasters are taking pity on the Astros.
The Aussies are like....WTF, Mate!?!?!?

Robert hasn't ever really hit a ball off a light tower 500 feet away.
Mazara also has that level of power.
I was just going to say that.
Robert has stupid power too, don't get me wrong and I've heard stories about his minor league HRs rivaling Eloy.
The Sox might have the most raw power in their OF in baseball, between Eloy, Robert and Mazara.
If they can tap into Mazara's raw power....oh boy.

As Hawk would say, "you can tie him, but you can't beat him"
Well then Robert has just as much based on what I've seen.
At the end of the day, game power is what matters.
All 3 of those guys are going to be monsters and it's going to be a joy to watch them terrorize the AL for the next 6 years.

Alfonso Marquez is the home plate umpire according to the box score.
Oh sorry. my bad.

Defense: Robert.
Offense: Moncada. (LH power, Switch hitting, versatility)
Power #s: Eloy.
I actually think that Robert might have more power than Eloy.
I could see Eloy being Albert Belle at his peak though offensively.

Robert's aggression appears to be a product of the talent he was facing, and not his overall approach. Antoher BB.
God if that's true, Eloy might not be too far off.
Out of the Sox Big 3 core pieces(Moncada, Robert, Eloy)
who do you think will be the best:
Offensively
Defensively
Overall
My guesses:
Eloy, Robert, Moncada.
But it wouldn't shock me if Robert ended up winning all 3.

I didn't see who it was. Makes sense now.
I only know because they mentioned his name on the Sox radio broadcast.

That's a huge strike zone
It's Angel Hernandez, wtf do you expect? Good umpiring? LOL.
-
Good news. Didn't see it posted in the 1st inning, so I'd post it now.

Luis Robert is just unbelievable.
TODOS LOS CUBANOS.
They already have an agreement with Norge Vera and I'd put a large chance on them getting one of Yokelis Cespedes or Oscar Colas.

Robert 2B, Eloy scores. 1-0 Sox.

I don’t care how he looks right now, but EE is my easy pick for Sox free agent signing that comes to Chicago and forgets how to play baseball.
This is why you hang on to Collins

Moncada saying he doesn't like batting leadoff and feels most comfortable in the #2 spot would be enough for me to lock him in at 2.
^^^^^^

Has Crochet pitched yet this year?

Moncada leading off.....knock it off already Ricky.
He's leading off because he walks more than Timmy.
I don't like it. Shit, I'd rather lead off Robert.

I don't see it happening. I would like it to happen, though.
McCann has had one really good half of baseball in his career and it was incredibly inflated by his BABIP. Then, he returned to being the #2 caliber catcher that he is.
He's a poor hitter and okay defensively.
I would trade him while he has value.
You just named all of the reasons why he probably doesn't have value. If you know that, you think MLB teams don't?
