At the same time, Grandal and Moncada were really good against RHP last year. Idk if anyone could have foreseen both guys falling off a cliff like this.

What to do with Moncada while Burger is raking is the biggest question facing this team. You have to give him an opportunity to get out of the slump, but at the same time you're costing the team games doing so.

I can't stand Tony either, but there's not much he can do when the highly paid guys like Pollock, Grandal and Moncada aren't worth a damn, and that's not even counting Leury and Harrison. Those guys will get every opportunity to get their shit together just because of their paychecks.

Yoan Moncada is also on this team. Worth 4 WAR and and had a wRC+ over 120 over 3 seasons and now is the worst hitter in baseball. I think Yoan might get his shit together eventually, but the longer it goes the more I wonder. It's weird how he's just lost it at 27 years old.

The approach is there lately. I Think most of his issues early were approach related. He's not swinging at bullshit anymore.

I think he's going to come out of his funk eventually, but right now Moncada belongs nowhere near the top of the order.
