I think there are much more subtle deviant acts than beating bums that kids get away with these days. by the way, by mandatory military service, I DON'T mean going overseas to fight in wars. That could be an option if the kid wanted it, but I mean domestic defense and national guard stuff. For instance, during Katrina relief, we would have a sizable force of young adults to help with moving supplies and handing out aid.

It's sad, but I have a friend that's getting locked up for like a year, and I wanted to visit him like once a month to keep his spirits up. Does anyone have experience with prison visits? it's just the county lock up so it's nothing high profile. I don't want the fear of prison to keep me from visiting a friend. This guy did this to himself, but I can't imagine the fear and lonliness he's going to feel. anyway, if anyone's got comments, I'm open to it. Thanks

I don't know greasy... sometimes I think that you're in the minority. It's not your fault that many, many kids today have no respect for anything and zero sense of responsibility. Our parents did a great job raising us.

Turned themselves in for beating up multiple homeless people in Florida. One of the homeless men was killed. This is why the US needs to implement a 2 year mandatory military service for 17-19 year olds...

Whole Foods seems to have a decent health care system. employees have a higher deductible, but have HC savings accounts which are tied to check cards. These accounts carry over every year and are contributed to by WF as well as the employee. I have no HC because it's too expensive for me to get coverage at work. It's not cost effective. I'd rather ride out a cold for 3 weeks than pay 150 bucks + a month for something I'm not using.
